    BO STAFF Fighting Combinations - Amazing! #bostaff #martialarts #karate #kungfu ruclips.net/video/ePJudA851NI/видео.html
    The Bo Staff is found in most the traditional Martial Arts from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Philippines like Karate, Kali, and Kung Fu! Bo Staff is a term we use for this weapon in USA where the term Bo is more appropriate when referring to a Bo Staff in a Karate class. 棒 or Bàng is more appropriate when referring to a Bo Staff in a Chinese Kung Fu or Wushu class! No matter what you call the Bo Staff this Martial Arts weapon is used for self defense and attack in a spinning, thrusting, smacking, blocking, and re-directing manner. Please enjoy these short Bo Staff warm-up exercises and 5 Bo Staff Fighting Combinations. Bo Staff Combos 1-5 are below! SUBSCRIBE and Hit the BELL! A nice demo of moves, sir. For those with a passion for the staff and learning to flow moves into combos, I would recommend learning "Loop Dragon Staff Form." It's an intermediate difficulty (kung fu disciple level) form with a great variety of moves.. and it's long, so it's a good workout, too. It's the 19th form in my school (Chung Shing Shaolin), and probably my favorite staff form. I'll bet there's a video of it out there somewheres. ^_~

      Look up " Yi Chin Ching ",
      It might help with your recovery and arthritis. Start out with gentle exercises, like "internal exercises". These will promote your own energy to moving. It is like electricity flowing and is blocked by your arthritis.
      DO NOT DO ANY KIND OF EXERCISES UNTIL YOU ARE HEALED AND YOUR DOCTOR SAYS IT IS TIME TO EXERCISE.

  • @matbroomfield
    @matbroomfield 5 лет назад +4

    I think bo is one of the most eminently practical martial arts weapons, so it would have been nice to see some context for the function of the moves, especially that opening s shape. Wish I had strong knees like yours. Mine are shot now. :-(

      @RealKungFu  5 лет назад +1

      Mat Broomfield coming up we’ll show how these movies work in combat with another person!

    • @matbroomfield
      @matbroomfield 5 лет назад +1

      @@RealKungFu I look forwards to seeing that Jake. I realise the problems of organising training partners for the filming makes this problematic, but I remember far better when I understand why I am doing something. Even if you'd said, "Sweep their knee, pound on their foot, etc" it would have helped me visualise the actual applications. I think generally, you are a really excellent teacher (good communication, good technique breakdown, good demonstrations), but this is a small addition that I feel would improve your delivery still further.

    First thoughts from bo is its a great stretching companion and my totally made up technique of quick crotch, shin, nose, eyes strikes actually starts giving a burn reletively quickly...
    If someone grabs the staff im assuming jab pull jab pull until they let go but if they man handle you from left or to right how do you keep distance and do something to recover the staff at some point? Without you getting ko by the staff end or having it ripped from you.

    99 percent of people watching these videos are not real martial artists. Some of those people may be fighters...and some may even do it professionally. Most are just UFC fanboys that have no respect for other styles unless it is what they see in the cage. They are close minded fools and would rather boost their own ego by disrespecting Jake mace rather than admitting that they don't know what he is capable of, and why should it matter to them? As someone who has studied martial arts for thirty years, I have attained a level of wisdom that many don't seek to find. Some of the things I have seen Mr. Mace put out, I definitely disagree with. But many things are very useful and he is sharing those things....so why is it okay to straight up talk shit to the man. He has the courage to continually take the abuse from these people with a smile on his face. And one thing that I certainly have learned over the years is that sometimes the man who refuses to fight, is far more dangerous than those who fight all the time.
