Nice video. The photographer seemed a little nervous at first, but he is obviously very knowledgable, and able to visualise what he wants. Nice simple explanations with real time views of the results. Very enjoyable.
Very creative and lovely work. Having tried LED lighting over the last few years, Ive opted completely out for a couple simple reasons. first of all, they just arent pwerful enough. They cannot freeze motion but, most importatntly, you fry your clients eyes. Too bright for sustained use. They make the pupils the size of pencils. I believe constant LEDs have thier place, but its with video, not portraiture. Good stuff and love your creativity.
The Stella Pro Reflex allows you to turn off the LED continuous light after setting up and switch to "strobe". It's a continuous hybrid light. Meaning both LED and strobe capabilities.
@Aperture Collective I'm assuming he OC would rather use something line an AD200 at that point. I wonder if just bouncing it off an umbrella would fix the eye irritation issue though.
I apologize if you have explained this in the video already, but due to the lack of time, I had to skip around a lot. Would you mind stating the reason for using a continuous light over a flash? Is there a particular look that the LED light can achieve that the flash cannot or is it down to convenience or cost?

Thanks, beautiful work. Would have been interesting to know how much ambient light takes care of the fill. Also, in the 2nd set, I don’t really manage to see what the 2nd light does?
Can I ask ou the set camera i understand that you use like 1.4 to 2.8 aperture but i miss understand iso and speed. I belive is continuos light ? Thank you and beautiful work
Thank you so much for this awesome video! Would you please be so kind and tell me what size and material you used for the backdrop? It’s absolutely stunning and exactly what I am looking for! Thank you!
Hi J, here is Leon's response, "The light is not as powerful as a strobe. I mostly shoot at somewhat shallow apertures because it is a nautural skin softener and I like the blue effect. One could narrow their aperture at higher powers but the light would also be very bright. Another option is to use the Reflex S connected to AC power and you could achieve those apertures without the annoying brightness". Let us know if you have any other questions!
I really loved the lights and the photos! You mentioned variety to your clients, on a photo shoot like this, how many photos do you edit and deliver to your clients? Thank you so much in advance!
Hi Anna, here are Leon's responses, "I will usually show 40-70 unedited images to clients during their purchase session. They purchase what they want in the form of albums and wall portraits". We hope this helps!

@@StellaProLights Thank you for the quick response :) Is there a more affordable alternative to these? I actually own regular diffusers with bowens mount. I just couldn't find an adaptor.
@@kayayasar6730 Hey Kaya, we offer a bowens mount adapter for the Reflex line which can be found here! lightandmotion.com/products/stellapro-clx-bowens-softbox-c-stand-adaptor
This is not bad at all but what i can see is that if you dont have more to bring out texture on your Image you might be losing in that direction, continuos light with wide aperture shooting is so great is you don't need little texture, you might spend more time in post production, what is portrait without texture
As a CONTINOUS light source it's a nice package, but this and Rotolight trying to imply it can take the place of a "strobe" or flash is just disingenous. It can NOT provide a short flash duration to freeze motion which is absolutely necessary when shooting fashion. Otherwise the clothing and model will blur. And the other MAJOR benefit from a true flash is that you're not blinding the model with bright light. (1): it's uncomfortable for a subject to have a bright light shining in their eyes, and (2) you're NEVER going to get that attractive, dilated pupil in the eyes look. With a continuous bright light in their face, the model's pupils will get small. With a flash, the pupils remain larger black dots because the modeling light is relatively low in power and the flash burst is so quick that the eye can't respond fast enough, hence you get the full, more pleasant looking large pupil diameter. These LED lights will never give a photographer the benefits that a true strobe or flash can provide. Don't be fooled. But if you're okay with continuous/constant light, then go for it. The "strobe" effect setting is a joke.
I absolutely love this!
O..m...g...lovely model! Perfect light, im jealous
I appreciated how u showed the unedited photos instead of the already edited photos.
