@@techandy1747 actually I have a m1 Mac and I use it for gaming as well as my college work. Not everyone can get different monitors for games, so I play on my Mac. It’s great for what it does. Of course eventually I’ll get a separate display but for now, the Mac does the job.

The Studio Display has SO MANY issues:
- non-removable power cord: seriously? That's the most anti-consumer thing just so that this so called "environment-friendly" company can milk more money.
- non-removable stand: Another anti-consumer "feature".
- A13 chip is not being used at its full potential at all. Why even include it? Apple could've easily made Apple TV to work on the monitor itself but hey, they'd "lose money" that way.
And do not compare the pricing to XDR display. That display is for professional work and all such displays cost around that price. Consumer displays like this one can be much cheaper for the same performance. Look outside the Apple garden once at least.

@@hadorstapa people like her are the reason why Apple can pull off such anti-consumer BS moves. If they keep buying these things Apple will try to make things even worse and of course other companies will follow suit because there is now an acceptable way to make more money.

@@harbirsingh7266 a lot of these type of reviewers are fake; as in a persona created for the channel but because they make so many videos, they eventually become that persona. I like watching her videos for entertainment but I wouldn’t buy anything based on her reviews. If a reviewer can’t point out any obvious cons and practically fanboys over the item, then they are probably getting some kind of kickback of some kind. These videos are completely filled with overacting is almost comical.

I think iJustine also bears out what they said about the target market not caring about the second SSD slot and Apple’s hiding of it to discourage upgrading, that this audience would happily splash out on a new device instead.

I would love to see a more deep dive into the display. How does it work when you have two or more studio display? Can you use all the webcams at once? How about syncing the audio while playing music? Also I wonder, is the webcam quality 1080p or 4K?

The webcam is poor according to The Verge, they even had Apple respond last night that they needed to put out some fixes but no timeline for that.

@@sundaynightdrunk The camera is technically massively better than on the M1 iMac. It's 12MP (8MP is 4K). TheVerge seemed to have seen some problems which are for sure caused by software.
I wish we were friends because I would love to see all these new Macs, iPhones, etc. but I have to go to the Apple Store instead and be looked at like a crazy person

It's the most terrible and anti-consumer product Apple has ever made. But yeah, beautiful for sure.
I’ve seen a half dozen of these videos but no one is near to your excitement and insight.
Finally. Someone that shows the actual machine in use and doesn’t have the machine sitting next to them while they regurgitate all the keynote information.
You may want to see Max disassembling the computer and also Marques. I believe that marques is using the. 10.6.1 version of FCP and Max is using that so the performance is not as high as this.
I can't believe Justine has just so much energy that we all can't have together combined. And reviews are just beyond imagination :-)

Ordered a Mac Studio with the M1 Uktra and 2 Ter of ssd. also a Studio display with Standard glass. Can't wait. I am a retired RN and I do aerial foottage with my Phantom 4 pro and use my iPhone 13 pro to do pro res videos. Finally a computer that I can work with. Loved your presentation.
The monitor has too many negatives. It doesn't have any kind of local dimming (so it never really gets black). It doesn't have high refresh rates. It doesn't have hdr (which is especially important as a video editor).

The iPad is the same size as the Mac studio and can use the iPad as a screen for it when on the plane. You’d have to have great power on the plane, but it’s an interesting hacker way to make the mac studio a laptop. You can check out how other RUclipsrs have done this with the Mac mini.

My work setup: 1 Pro Display XDR
IJustine: 3 IMacs and 1 mac studio set.
My computer: 14" MacBook pro base model
IJustine: 16" maxed out Macbook pro
I'm hopeful the Mac mini gets a M1 Pro option... or M2, whatever they update to. Same for MacBook Air, but the Mac mini has PLENTY of space for cooling the M1 Pro. No display should be sold without including height adjustment. That's just a crazy mark up.
Same here, along with HDMI 2.1 and ThunderBolt ports capable of 4K 120hz and 8K 60hz.

The M1 Ultra provides an extreme amount of power that is totally UNNECESSARY for 99.5% of all Mac users/owners. I do not believe there is anything anyone could throw at this machine to to use it’s full potential on a daily basis. With that said, I AM GETTING ONE.

I LOVE IT! Apple has stepped up and delivered with their M1 lineup and I'm so happy with everything they've accomplished. The Mac Studio will be a powerhouse to everyone that purchases these devices. Even the M1 Max version of the Mac Studio will be amazing to have, especially for everyone that doesn't need such a powerful chip. I can't wait to see your desk setup with the Mac Studio. iJustine does it again with the amazing content!
Why doesn't Apple manufacture touchscreen laptops and monitors ?
The display is a step down. You can get those same specs for a lower price from other companies and their power cords are REMOVABLE.

What good engineer puts on an attached power cable on a monitor
@@DainR13 right? They actually spent time and resources to engineer a new permanently attached cable and a tool to remove it even though they already had a MagSafe cable that would've worked just fine. It was probably a decision by some bone-headed executive, not engineers though.

The product is mediocre, overpriced and Apple purposely made it so you cannot remove/replace the power cable easily.
@@transformerstuff7029 I didn’t realise the Mac studio had a fixed power cable. As for the studio display, you can remove it but given how thin the screen is, they opted for a different design. The nice thing about the braided cables is that they’re actually very very light allowing them to be easily manoeuvred

I don‘t know why i click on this channel for honest reviews.. the verge destroyed the studio display instead of iJustine. She loves every apple product. She‘s the perfect example of samsung fans, calling us apple sheeps.
Channels like this one, with 7 Million followers, have the power to critizise Apple. Since the iPhone X, the company stagnate on innovation and design. They revealed the iPhoneX on the same date like the iPhone8 and skiped a number because its so innovative. Every other manufacturer copied it on the same year or made a better one with a holepunch display. And why haven’t they just revealed one phone? Because that was the only solution to justify the price difference from $699(iphone8) to $999(iphoneX). And that became the standard. That was 2017. They‘re still using the same design. The 2014 iPhone6 > SE and the 2017 iPhoneX > iPhone13.
And it even looks that apple doesnt have the same policy thru the entire company. They revealed the iPhoneX and the MacbookPro. The MacbookPro was only USB-C because thats te standard. But not for the iPhoneX. The included cable was lightning to usb-a. So i couldn‘t connect my 2017 macbookpro with my 2017 iphoneX.
I hate android. I hate even using it for two minutes, just to call someone. So i am stuck with apple. But i also hate apple, for what it became. I was waiting for a macbookpro with apple silicon and it became thicker using their own chip!? And for no reason it has a notch. I was waiting for a redesigned iphone. In the old days, the redesign happened every 2 years. Now i am using, the iPhone12, that looks from the front like the 13, the 11 and the X. I was waiting for a cheaper display, and they use the display of the iMac with 5K to justify this ridiculous price. They keep telling everybody, you dont need a computer, just use the iPad.. but there is no app from apple, so i could use a calculator. Apple Homekit is nice, but i want apple smart home products, like google and amazon are building.
I could go on and on, but who cares.. apple doesn‘t care about a customers opinion. But iJustines opinion could hurt them.
Why? The Studio Display is massively better than the (slightly overpriced) LG UltraFine 5K. The priceless color accuracy, 5K, 600 Nits, best Sound in a display ever, best Camera in a Display ever and the design and quality are worth 300$ more. There is no better alternative for less.

You only seem to be naming the pros but not acknowledging the cons. Yes the device is one of a kind and you probably won’t find as many features as it has elsewhere but you can get somewhat equivalent quality of screen with other manufacturers. Refusion to acknowledge it’s cons is just being a sheep

I love how she concludes these are powerful machines based on just editing video. These are just average in terms power and great on power efficiency. The video stuff is accelerated with Media Engine which makes them fast in that particular workload. Also that Display with fixed cable is just pathetic, they could have used the iMac power connector.
