    So the real reason we don't win away from home is basically because we lack the players to control the games. Maybe not so much the manager after all

      The only issue for me is if you look at what we spend on some of these players wages vs what they are up against, we are paying enough that the quality should be there to beat the sort of bread and butter sides we face. I think long term Phil will sort it, he has been handed quite a few duds innthe backline to get a tune out of from previous managers. It's costing us.

    I'm a Rangers fan and have been for over 50 years, and my analysis is simple, this Rangers team are pish...

    Honestly, we look a better team off the ball. Which in Scottish football isn’t going to cut it as teams will happily give up 60-70% possession.
    Clement has my backing, but I don’t think he knows what he wants from the team.
    He wants a team that can do everything fairly well it seems. Whereas a Muscat team would do one thing very good… I don’t know what’s best.

    Rangers need to fix the defence with some good signings - end of story, surely?

      If we got even one CB who can dominate games and an experienced CM at minimum, this team will look way better. Ideally we find a way to sign a RB, 2 CBs to start with Propper and Souttar as the cover, an experienced CM, LW and striker who can finish to add more options to the front line. I doubt we have the money to do that. I don't know if we are even capable of buying before selling.

      and another top quality midfielder to play with Hagi and Raskin.

    it appears a few of these players need their mummies and daddies, along with 50k fans cheering them on in order to get a tune out of them

    The real reason for me is failure to sign two dominating CBs in the summer capable against the type of players we face in the SPFL coupled with, a lack of RB of note, and we need an experienced CM next to Raskin, as Diomande is a good young player but he has yet to nail the consistency in his game. I am sure Diomande will come good, but he needs an old head in the midfield engine room with some quality to push him on and learn from. We also lack on the LW. My hope is Cortes can quickly find the form he showed when he first came here. I am sure he will get back to his best.
    The other side of our problems that are self made is signing injury prone types that play a handful of games and go missing. We can't build a rhythm of wins each season with guys always in a cycle of injury and rehab. Matondo, Souttar, Ridvan, Lawrence, Balogun now with age and Sterling. That's a big core of guys who are not robust. It's not their fault. It's on the clubs recruitment and doctors. We have been taking too many risks. The latest that show me we are not learning is the talk of Souttar getting an extension. You want rid of those types, don't extend their deals.

    Why the big emphasis on all these stats and graphs. They don't win you games. Managers, coaches can use these and paint a narrative that suits them ie clement constantly going on about shots on target ect after dropped points. It's nonsense. The best example of stats being irrelevant is celtic v Barcelona. To the trained eye you can see how a game is unravelling. The hibs game when rangers go two up, it should come from the players on the field to strive for the 3rd goal and kill the game regardless of what hibs do, it's mentality, That's how you become successful. Celtic do it more often than not and it comes from the leaders from within the team ie mcgregor. The XG nonsense, again you hear managers go on about our XG being higher, but they lost the game. Again paints a picture to suit a narrative. The game is being over anaylised now. Rangers were more successful under this Manager when they went direct. I bet there stats are better now than they were during the good period last season but are producing worse results.

    How did we manage to adapt to the away league matches in his first 10 away games which resulted in 8 wins and a draw Wasn't an issue then so what changed ?

  • @georgewilson197
    @georgewilson197 Месяц назад +2

    They went 2 - 0 up and fell asleep. They have no fight. No ability to hold the ball. Manager has refused to change to suit the Scottish game. The are made up to play a european game, but no use for scittish game. And the team are pussies, injured when the wind changes direction.

    Just be on it for the entire game ,passionate hungry desperate to win the game , not just for 40 minutes, the players are not clever enough to stay focused for a whole game , and yous are going on about tactics and graphs bollocks . just play with heart the rangers way for fucks sake .

    • @rangersnut
      @rangersnut Месяц назад +1

      We saw them totally switched on for the Celtic game. I believe fully there are too many who turn it on in Europe and against Celtic, because they believe it is good for their careers. There are a few who don't care about most of the league games and it's that mixed with inheriting the injury prone ones that holds us back.
