It is not clear whether the IC-7760 will replace the wonderful IC-7851. I would like to evaluate a comparison of the features with the IC-7851. I would like to be convinced before replacing it with the IC-7760 For example some commands seem to be alternative between the two receivers, while the IC-7851 has them independent. I hope to see it soon in demo in my country.
At the :30 mark he says the 7851 is superheterodyne and this isn't. I think he says the 7851 doesn't have 15 bandpass filters that this does. If I owned a 7851 I wouldn't downgrade.
I wouldn't buy a K4 or anything else Elecraft ever again. They have a 12 week repair turnaround time. I've never waited more than 2-3 weeks from any other manufacturer for a repair. SO... Imagine you spend big bucks on a K4 just for a few months later for them to tell you it's 12 weeks for a repair. I'd be livid. My K3 has been back 3 times since 2016 and I take great care of my things. Elecraft needs to hire another tech or someone else there needs to jump in and get that backlog down.
200watt IC7610 with 1 extra screen. What a disappointment. NO CESSB, No Diversity receive phase noise cancellation, No dynamic range improvement over the IC7300 or IC7610. Its a joke. Could probably buy 2 X IC7610s when the price drops because of this radio. The only feature you get is to say you "got the latest and greatest" that works as well as the last latest and greatest.
