If you're talking about your playing, in cant help you im not great either. But if youre talking about sound, i'd start by not using 80 gauge on the low string, try a 74 max. then you'll need to have a good boost or overdrive pedal (fortin 33, dirty tree bost, tube screamer etc). Plug that in a good amp with a relativly thight distortion paired with (the most important step) a good cab with good speaker(s) (like v30 or d77 etc). Go watch some kohle studio or spectresoundstudio videos, they'll give some more advice ! :)

Most 8 strings have a dead string dullness to them, this is the first time I haven’t seen that.
