4:26 our you can use a workshop hydraulic press! 6:16 and the toque is very important, and the distance piece provides an effective increase in the diameter of the stub axle and reduces the risk of bending moment and cracking. 6:57 that looks like 0.4 thou which is not enough, but the installation guide will state the end float.
Very good explanation. No demonic music. Thank you.
What a great demonstration - thanks for posting this.
see the 1960`s single disc ! warping and brake fade was a problem !
So what you fit - 2 discs , I think you have brain fade old chap !
You should mention pressing in the studs first that the brake disc mounts to the splined hub with…..
Good job, Fuzz.
Fantastic
Top stuf!
Just the job while the series isn't on More4. Got no sky, so I'll have to be patient.
Love these videos but was the clock showing 4 tenths of a thou float, couldn't really see?
How many times i have pack a bearing/ball joint with grease to pass a MOT lol
That looked like 4 ten thousands of an inch
WRONG you can only adjust end play with the wheel on for counterweight, then tightrn the nut and check end play until very little motion is detected from top to bottom of the wheel
How do you measure it once the wheel is on?
I can't find the episode with Metro 6R4! Someone who can help me?
Then spend hours. Trying to put the split pin through the cascaded nut.
I didn't notice it.
It's not that hard - there are holes in the hub so that tyou can insert them.
Building a 100/6 bn4 with discs
Is SOS still on C4?
I think that this was a waste of time , just fit a nice set of Minilites , better than spending hours cleaning wire wheels and less balencing problems too - today's tire fitters don't understand wire wheels !
Should have tightened the hub nut to 90 foot lbs
Used to be a fun watch. Now a kindergarten tutorial.
