  • Dodge Dart is a line of automobiles marketed by Dodge from the 1959 to 1976 model years in North America, with production extended to later years in various other markets.
The Dart name originally appeared on a 1956 Chrysler show car featuring a streamlined body designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Ghia that was later modified and renamed the Dart Diablo.[
The production Dart was introduced as a lower-priced, full-size Dodge in 1960 and 1961, became a mid-size car for 1962, and then was a compact from 1963 to 1976.

My father bought a used one in 1974. Light gold color. Push button automatic. Like riding on air. He took us to many Saturday night drive-in’s in it, all six of us. He let me drive it up the road and back when I was only 12. I still miss it.

My mother had one and it was bright red! Very smooth riding car and the push button automatic transmission was very unique and reliable. Torsion bar ride was superior my parents thought from all the other cars of that era.

The 1959 dodge custom royal was better with body on frame construction and the imperial crown for 1960 was a magic carpet ride on the highway and 10 thousand pound towing capacity

I'd bet you'd change your mind if you had to drive one every day.
