    Excellent! I used to ride this as a small child 70 years ago, when the only highlight was a corrugated iron tunnel, possibly a repurposed Anderson shelter. Evidently much improved and still running steam.

    I can remember Commander Frances running Edmund Hannay and Pilgrim on the Harbour Railway at Wells Next the Sea, Norfolk, before he built the Wells and Walsingham Railway. Hannay, I remember as an open footplate engine with a steam water pump on the right hand running plate.

    So good to see this thriving again. When I lived in Hastings (1997-2013), it was very run-down.

    Speedy Fizzle what a funny but clever name let me guess top speed 7½mph

      It’s named after one of the railways engineers and founders who sadly passed before the locos completion , it’s a hydraulic so not built for speed but power it will do about 16mph if maxed out light
