The Yankees have shown they aren't afraid to go big for generational players. 4. Yankees have home field advantage. If they offer him $650M over 12 years, and someone else offers him $700M, hes staying.
Now I’m thinking Gleyber is coming back. He struggled until the trade deadline because he was scared to be traded to another team, he wasn’t focused on the game.
Id love for gleyber (always my favorite player)to come back but with a soto signing, no way they bring him back. They also have other young guys to play second base. He will also be asking for a lot
If we match Soto's offers, he will stay. If we're ten bucks lower, he's gone. Gleyber, eh. I won't lose sleep over him leaving, and I think I'm not alone in that.
I think the lineup that this gentleman just showed would be OK what the Yankees gotta do is concentrate on relievers and one or two good starting pitchers and if they get the same production, they did this year. They’ll be back in the series next year and then win it.
I also noticed the Yankees couldn’t come up with clutch hits when they needed the hits the most they left the players on base and he can’t do that if you’re gonna try to win a World Series so that is something they should look at, but I think pitching and relievers are probably the most important right now Verdugo TorresRizzo and maybe one or two relievers can go. It’s time to change those positions and get a team in her more consistent at the plate when you got runners on on base.
Rizzo, Verdugo, Torres, Khanle, Maybe Soto!!!..........Need starters Boone is not afraid to start in the post season. Ben Rice can play first. Cabrera and Berti can get time there too. Trent Grisham is a good glove in the outfield to back up and hits an occasional homer. Peraza can backup at 2nd short or 3rd as can Berti and Cabrera. Catcher is set. Need hard throwers in the pen.
Good list. Although I hope DJ LeMahieu be part of the list too. Rizzo, Holmes, Verdugo, Torres are gone for sure. Kahnle may stay with the right prices. Yank will need more BP pieces and more depth in OF. IF they are set with Peraza, Chism, Berti, Oswaldo, Volpe and possibly Vivas to join.
Jay's fan here. I think that some of these names are crazy! I mean take vladdy and Bo. 2 excellent fan based people. Juan Soto and Verdugo i think should stay. I love watching the ALC EAST
Rizzo, for sure. Verdugo might just have had a bad year at the plate. Not sure. Soto is great, but some guys ask for to much $$. So many are already overpaid. Torres doesn't seem to play hard. He could be a lot better if he put his mind to it. Don't know why he doesn't.
Good analysis. I think Soto will return with Yankees (especially if the win the WS). Glyber has improved a lot (hitting) since being the leadoff hitter and I think he will be a keeper. Verdugo...THE MARTIAN will take over (does not matter which outfield position he plays). If we lose Soto, then Santander should be our target. He can replace Rizzo at first and now you have a switch hitter with power (especially when he bats left-handed and having the "short porch" at Yankee Stadium) who can bat either before or after Judge.
Like pretty much every Yankee fan I'd really like to see Soto back. Rizzo is definitely gone at 17 million, but I wouldn't be terribly shocked if they rework his contract to keep him around at a lower number (I personally would let him walk). Holmes has shown that he's a capable set-up guy, but some team will probably offer him closer-type money, so he'll walk. I can't imagine a world where they bring back Verdugo, especially if they re-sign Soto. I like Tommy Kahnle, but I 100% agree that he's on the downside of his career and will be too expensive. Torres is a weird situation, 2 months ago I'd've said he's definitely gone. But now I think he could come back if the price is right. I can see The Yankees giving him a qualifying offer and if he takes it good, but if not at least they get something in return.
With the Mets getting their arse kicked and the Mets having no offense, it seems we will need to get the World Series before Soto leaves us. He doesn't give me any confidence that he will stay for less money, even though the Yankees will give him a record contract too. Not sure why given he will get paid regardless and will break the record regardless.
What about Dominguez. Is he an afterthought? He can play the outfield next year as a starter. It’s about time he starts playing. Idk why we forget about him lol
There’s 12 comments about this. He’s a natural centerfielder, he’s going to be in centerfield next year. Judge will probably go back to right if the Yankees don’t sign Soto. If they do, he probably moves to left.
@@PinstripeTerritory right but a center fielder can play anywhere in the outfield. He’s an athlete and can adjust if the Yankees do bring Soto back. He’s still a viable option is left as well.
I've said it before and I will say it again, Rizzo definitely should not return. Not sure who the Yankees have to replace him but someone must be found/discovered Verdugo also has to go but the replacement is already on the roster-Jasson The Martian should be playing LF next season I really hope the team decides to bring back Torres but time will tell. It takes both parties to be interested. A. Wells should be the starting catcher going forward. I know his post-season was terrible but he's a huge upgrade over anybody else on the catching depth chart.
What about The Martian in left field ? Also I believe the Yankees might sign Gleyber Day to a one yr deal..If he has a turn around season and stays with the Yankees , he could become their all time best second baseman .. What about Gerrit Cole?
Domingues is in LF Yankee fans need to get there heads out of there asses and wake up. I don’t care if Soto is there or not. This team will NEVER win as long as Aaron Boone is the manager, NEVER. They cannot do the basic things that a high school team can do. And when you have a 200M payroll and expanded playoffs, fans sit there and say this team did a good job. NO THEY DOD NOT DO A GOOD JOB. I they cannot run-defend-throw. They hit homeruns against crap pitchers to win games. And are exposed when they play good teams. What you saw on display in the WS is everyday for the Yankees. This is a sign of a poorly prepared team which goes to coaching. Aaron Boone MUST be fired. I could have taken that team to the World Series.
Soto will go to Mets. He’s indicated after the World Series that he’s not in really in love with Yankees and at the end of the day will base his decision on the amount of money offered. That’s what he actually said…. Choosing best offer $$$
Torres will probably be the best available second baseman via free agency. I think he stays and Soto goes to the team that drops the biggest load of cash at his feet. Verdugo will be gone and left field is there for Jason Dominguez to earn in spring training. Jazz either takes third base or moves back to the outfield and plays right. Which means the team will need to fill one of those spots through free agency. First base….when Soto leaves maybe open the vault for Pete Alonso to replace Rizzo I think Cashman will spend the off season building a very strong bullpen. I can absolutely see a very successful team next season
I may be in the minority, but I'm not feeling Jazz as an asset at all, especially at third base. Put him back in the outfield until Dominguez steps up.
@@NeilTruick Whether you feel he is an asset or not doesn’t matter, Jazz is under contract until the end of 2026 I think. He will play either 3rd, 2nd or outfield depending on what Cashman addresses in the off-season. I think Torres will be back because he will be the best available 2nd baseman via free agency.
Juan Soto I say the Yankees should leave him and throw a wrench in Scott boras greed . Also if he comes back with more money than judge the ego of the captain will be hurt .
I think Soto will stay. I really like Verdugo, but the numbers don’t lie and I think they’ll go with Dominguez at Left. Same with Rizzo. One of the best guys on the team, but he is declining a quite a bit. Ben Rice will work well at 1st. Holmes needs to go yesterday.
@@JT-zy2ft well yea of course. Would like to keep both. Wit what we have coming off the books it might be possible of Gleybor takes a team friendly deal. One thing though, if Sasaki is posted I want the Yankees to do all they can to get him. Cole is getting up there
Ben Rice at first base...we DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TORRES BACK..we got Jon Berti at second..he kinda reminds of Dustin Pedroia... and the young kid Jasson Dominguez in left field...
Re-signing Soto is the #1 priority with a deferred salary like the Dodgers did with Ohtani. He'll get his $600 million. He wants to play with Judge. I agree with you that your 5 most likely to go. Torres won't require big money, and batting 1st will keep him motivated. La Loggia will get $2 million a year for 2 years. Meanwhile, the Yankees should work on converting Dominguez to 1st Baseman. He doesn't have the range to play outfield. Jones has at least 2 years to cure his strike-out problem in the minors. He needs a top-tier batting coach over the winter; for that reason, we could see a big trade using Jones & Nestor for a #1 rotation pitcher. The Yanks will find at least two, but likely three relief pitchers to replace Kanahle and Clay Homes. Rizzo may well take $6 million for a 1-year deal, but the Yankees have Rice. He may have more upside than Yankees fans give him credit for having. This is going to be a great world series.
Some guys want to be in pinstripes. Soto isn't one. He wants the highest bidder to be his team of choice. Gerritt Cole is a true blue Yankee , amongst others. Soto would go to Tampa for the right money. Loyalty is not his biggest strength. His loyalty is to George Washington . If you know what I mean.
DJ best days are really really behind him from a 300 hitter in both leagues to barely hitting his weight. I think the Yankees do not need to bring him back. He’s more of a hazard than a benefit. He drops balls at first base he’s slow he can’t hit most of the time so I would let DJ LeMahieu, go completely
If I was the Yankees I wouldn't let Soto go. They need to get rid of Verdugo and bring up Dominguiz. I would get rid of Rizzo and keep DJ Lemahieu at first because Rizzos defense sucks. Let Clay Holmes walk and I know Stanton is having a good post season but Stanton is old and is going to get worse then he did in the regular season.
If Soto wasn't a Yankee this year, they wouldn't be going to the World Series. He made everyone else better too because of his optimism.

If we match Soto's offers, he will stay. If we're ten bucks lower, he's gone. Gleyber, eh. I won't lose sleep over him leaving, and I think I'm not alone in that.
Gone for a sawbuck !? With say a 550 million bid. Mercenary to say the least. Only kidding, but we get your point.
As of October 20, 2024, post ALCS - He. Will. Be Back.
Hey Gleyber. Slow down. Oh, you already did.
Great content bro
Appreciate it
Rizzo, Verdugo, Torres, Khanle, Maybe Soto!!!..........Need starters Boone is not afraid to start in the post season.
Gleyber will be back
Thanks!
Man, I hope they re-sign Soto because he’s a hell of a hitter and he has a great eye!
Jason Dominguez will play left field
They should consider converting Dominguez to first base. He is a liability in the outfield.
GOOD WORK, I AGREE ,YOU DIDNT MENTION JASSON D. ..HE COST NO MONEY, JUDGE AND SOTO ,JASSON WORKS FOR ME.. RESPECTFULLY MICHAEL
Jay's fan here. I think that some of these names are crazy! I mean take vladdy and Bo. 2 excellent fan based people.
Juan Soto and Verdugo i think should stay. I love watching the ALC EAST
Tommy is definitely coming back
Bet
The 5th inning made signing Soto imperative.
rizzo, torres, lemahieu for sure.
Soto, Torres, Rizzo, Verdugo, Matheiu
I think Soto is like Bernie Williams. He wants to be a Yankee, and if he gets a big offer, he'll take it to Hal and see if he can come close.
Soto if you see this please don’t leave 😢
Soto, Weaver and possibly Kahnle are the guys that need to be brought back. (If/when Verdugo leaves, Jasson Dominguez will take his spot.)
Soto signs with the Dodgers!
If the Yankees lose the world series Juan Soto is 💯 coming back but if they win he might not come back.
Can this just be Boone 5 times?
Not sure who the Yankees have to replace him but someone must be found/discovered
Verdugo also has to go but the replacement is already on the roster-Jasson The Martian should be playing LF next season
I really hope the team decides to bring back Torres but time will tell. It takes both parties to be interested.
A. Wells should be the starting catcher going forward. I know his post-season was terrible but he's a huge upgrade over anybody else on the catching depth chart.
What are the chances of Michael King coming back to the Bronx?
The Yankees 👀 👀 👀 need to retain Juan Soto as he's a great hitter with a decent defense.
Did you ever hear of Jasson Dominguez? He’s gonna be in the outfield next season
He’s going to play centerfield, his natural position. We saw how bad he was in LF, he had a pace of -44 DRS.
So yes, I’ve heard of him.
Keep soto judge yeswe love soto he fits we the Yankees facts ...
What about The Martian in left field ? Also I believe the Yankees might sign Gleyber Day to a one yr deal..If he has a turn around season and stays with the Yankees , he could become their all time best second baseman .. What about Gerrit Cole?
Martian in CF for sure. If Soto re-signs he stays in right, and Judge moves to left. If he leaves, Judge goes to right and LF becomes vacant.
And priority number one a good closer and 8 th inning set up pitcher for next yr
3:50. Won't Jaason Dominguez fill Alex Verdugo's outfield spot?
I think he will play center. And judge will either move back to RF if they sign Soto, or move to LF / 1B
I wouldn't mind seeing Torres or Stanton leave it seems like it's a once in awhile home run or nothing in terms of production
Domingues is in LF
Yankee fans need to get there heads out of there asses and wake up.
I thought Boone should have been fired the last 2 years.
Here’s a thought! Get Soto to agree to a Ohtani type contract. Torres can go . Move Cabrera to second and sign a big first baseman. ( Think Mets)
I agree with everything you said Derrick.
I look for Jazz Chisholm Jr. to be cut. Looked kinda hot but fizzled. Something says not a fit, not "team" as much as for himself. IMO
Zero chance he is cut.
Dumbest take I've heard
If we don't keep Weaver and Hill, I'm gonna be pissed.
If Soto still wants to be a Yankee, they'll make the numbers work.
Soto will go to Mets. He’s indicated after the World Series that he’s not in really in love with Yankees and at the end of the day will base his decision on the amount of money offered. That’s what he actually said…. Choosing best offer $$$
That’s not what he said. That was your interpretation of what he said.
I was scared you'd put Soto. I'm glad your super huge baseball brain says Soto returns
hot takes after that game 4 win
BOONE
Yankees aren’t rolling w/2-3 rookies next year in the starting lineup. So forget Jasson, Rice, Durbin all making the team out of spring training.
No chance on Durbin.
First base….when Soto leaves maybe open the vault for Pete Alonso to replace Rizzo
I think Cashman will spend the off season building a very strong bullpen. I can absolutely see a very successful team next season
They need a good closer to compete next yr , with or without Soto.
Jazz is a scrub.
@@greatestnitemare6626 Think what you like but he is under contract until 2026 I think
After this EPIC COLLAPSE, sat goodbye to Soto, Cole and Weaver.
Rizzo does have to go but I’m going to be sad about it….
I loved what he did for the cubs.
Soto will cool off like Rizzo did.
I’d happily sell Verdugo and Rizzo and buy Kwan from Cleveland to play left
All has been forgiven with Gleybor Torres since he has been moved back into the leadoff spot. He has been killing it, especially in the post season.
well no, he still makes stupid errors
@@sethterwilliger9434 A Little Lazy I say , Lost game one for us
@@sethterwilliger9434 That's ok, I'm sure he won't be back.
Verdugo won’t be missed
Soto better come back next season he literally just sent us to the World Series
Juan Soto I say the Yankees should leave him and throw a wrench in Scott boras greed . Also if he comes back with more money than judge the ego of the captain will be hurt .
I think Soto will stay. I really like Verdugo, but the numbers don’t lie and I think they’ll go with Dominguez at Left. Same with Rizzo. One of the best guys on the team, but he is declining a quite a bit. Ben Rice will work well at 1st. Holmes needs to go yesterday.
Verdugo can go. Just haven't been feeling him for the last half of the season. Agree with you on the rest.
Torres has earned a contract
@@Grande79 true but if it’s between Torres and Soto you got to pick Soto.
@@JT-zy2ft well yea of course. Would like to keep both. Wit what we have coming off the books it might be possible of Gleybor takes a team friendly deal. One thing though, if Sasaki is posted I want the Yankees to do all they can to get him. Cole is getting up there
@Grande79 I agree 100%! Torres played his heart out this post season. He earned it!
I think that’s all Torres was playing for, looking for big money elsewhere. Especially if…
Ben Rice at first base...we DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TORRES BACK..we got Jon Berti at second..he kinda reminds of Dustin Pedroia... and the young kid Jasson Dominguez in left field...
Kahnle is coming back trust
I want to see Jazz in CF
We keeping Soto and Torres well He’s been really good since being moved to leadoff so he also staying
Finally someone with common sense
All good choices until Soto and Torres. The Yankees will do everything to get them back.
After The ACLS win, The Yankees are gonna sign Soto. He hit the winning home run last night. Yankees are going to The World Series
Verdugo got to go.. won't hit with guitar...good outfield..adios amigo..
