- About four days ago, Esther Wambui came to Metha with a distress call. She claimed that her sister had ran away with her child. Esther says that she had left her child when he was only two months but it’s now six years since she saw him.
We caught up with Serah, Esther’s story. She says that Esther abandoned her child when he was only a month…that she repeatedly said that she didn’t want him…and that for the last 6 years, Esther never returned to know how her child was fairing.
As these two tear into each other, we can only hope that the best interest of the child will be reached.

Section 104 of the Children's Act is this lady's refuge! She's lived with the child for a period exceeding 3 years, and the child has made a home with her. As such, the child can not be arbitrarily removed from her custody. For all those sneaking to the mental health of the birth mother, have you asked yourselves why; when she felt better and wanted her son back she didnt go to the sister or sister's friends to ask for her child back? Let's be serious. Esther just ruined her sister's reputation for nothing. Any court would be hesitant to immediately remove the child from the custodial gurdian and hand him over to a very absent mother!

Post partum depression is no excuse I have had it after my 3 kids.. if you are a good mom deep down you gain strength from being a parent and eventually things get better,, she did not want the child because she was ashamed of how the child was conceived.. move on wacheke.. this child is no longer yours.. six years.. you have no shame!

Esther's other kids were brought up by their dad (and she was comfortable leaving them), she said it and was comfortable with it. If the sister's reply is true, that tells a lot about her as a mother, and there's more than meets the eye about this Esther.
