If D'Arby came out in the 2000s, he'd be dominating the music scene. . Even though Prince and Michael Jackson existed, I never could quite explain why I didn't like Bruno Mars beyond "he's mediocre at best" until I heard D'Arby. Suddenly, I could explain it. . Bruno Mars is imitating good performers and doesn't actually bring any real feeling to what he's doing, unlike those legends. He's in videos and on stage doing stuff, but it doesn't feel genuine. D'Arby was *inspired* by good performers, but also added his own style into the mix and brought feeling(or at least the illusion of it) into the performances. You can see it in the music videos and even more in recordings of his performances. This dedication didn't diminish when D'Arby became Maitreya. If anything, it seems to have increased.
The fact that Sananda Maitreya (TTD) wrote these beautiful songs is astonishing. A singularly, all around gifted talent, on par with Prince, MJ, Stevie Wonder.

And we were moving towards a musical period where technological production was favored over real Musicianship and Artistry. This is why I think Trent didn't get his real chance because he is a musical genius. The world just wasn't in a place to accept nother Prince. I love this man! And he's also a Pisces so yeah.

Pure genius. Perfect full round perfomer,that music was way beyond those years. I dont know what else to say. The silence at the end really gets me!!! The breaks in the music,the guitar build up the waves in the voice. I can watch it for hours. I just hope my kids appreciate this how I do. A huge talent was given to him. How lucky
