I think the FatBoy is the coolest Harley ever it’s the reason I’m into motorcycles because of Terminator 2. When I think of a Harley Davidson I always picture a fat boy.
As an owner of a 2017 Fatboy S, I can tell you that it does have a diminished lean angle due to the fact that is based on the Lo model. I put a Vance and Hines Fuelpak 3 on mine and it increased horsepower substantially! Thank for the review!
I really hope your business finds a new start. Your videos are second to none and still watch them every week if not more. I'm hoping you are planning the next chapter and use all the lessons you learned from the last business. All the will.
"Buy the Fat Bot S to save money" .... hold on! We all KNOW that women understand this logic.... "it was on sale, so I HAD to buy it because I SAVED money!" .... ever heard that before?
I own the Honda Pacific Coast, actually two of them. Best bike I ever owned! Storage big enough for two helmets or two 12 packs of beer! Runs quiet, which I like, and motors last 200, 000 miles! Plus, they are rare. They were made to get people to buy a motorcycle when they never bought one before. That didn't happen, but now people love them for what they are, super reliable, comfortable, and yeah, turns heads everywhere you go!
I have one in Denim black. I love it. I blacked out all my lights. And few other parts. And yes the boards are larger then they should be. I grind often.
The 2017 FatBoy S is a Lo frame. It doesn’t say it in the name, but it is. I have one. I got it in October of 2016 and it’s the same as the 2016 which is also a Lo frame. First thing you need to do is get rid of the stock pipes. I have the V&H Big Shots and the tuner. Loads more power for such a small change. But you will scrape those floor boards and there is a pucker factor involved! LOL. But it’s an incredibly fun bike to ride. Might want a gel seat for rides over 500 miles. And being a Lo frame, there isn’t much travel in those rear shocks so even small bumps can give you a kidney punch. Gel seat does not help with that much. Progressive makes some great replacement shocks that are pricey but worth it. Thanks for the video! Great bike.
I signed up for a motorcycle safety course, bought a '17 Fatboy S, took delivery of my new Fatboy S and then, a year later, upgraded it to a 117ci. A big engine motorcycle is like a racecar, firearm, knife... As long as you treat it with respect, it won't disrespect you. Don't try to ride above your level and you'll be fine. I've never regretted buying a 110ci for my very first motorcycle. I've customized it (lotta catalogue upgrades, but a couple truly custom upgrades as well), so I'll never sell it. I love that bike!
I got this bike, ‘17, and i put the 117 screaming eagle kit, now puts out 126 horses and 130nM It’s very fast and passes my friends vrod. The cruise control, fly by wire, abs and well balanced engineering make it smooth and light. Just the clearance lets it down. This ones my second S, my first got written off due to the frame being ground away during cornering. But I love it .
1. Fat Boy has a 110 Engine...some others have 114 Engine... 2. That hair net...is a sock that is primarily to keep the rain water out,the filter itself is for the dust in the air.

@gemini232003 1. The idea that the Harleys are slow was a silly and ignorant view.... 2. The 103's...110's and 114's are all fast and with plenty power.... 3. The only real advantage of the 114 power is the take-off and fast acceleration speed which in some circumstances...that is a great advantage 👍😎🇺🇸.

Keep Living The dream my friend 👍😎🇺🇸.
I have owned well over 20 motorcycles in my life but when I was renting them I rented a regular fat boy and I rented a fat boy lo with the 103 motor. It was all blacked out with the satin Vance and Hines exhaust and I loved that bike. I’m really not a Harley guy but holy shit I loved that bike
Thanks for the video! The Fat Boy S is Bad Ass! In 2016 I was cross between a Fat Boy S or a Slim S. I end up going with the 16 Slim S Super fun and easy to ride. Love it! No regrets!! And the cool thing is every go I really don’t see any Slim S makes my Harley feel more rare... lol Ride Safe Bro!
I have a Street Glide that I've ridden for years and taken on some super long rides. I'm short at 5'5" and have learned to handle a big touring bike pretty well. Soft gravel parking lots around bars have always been a pain. These days my wife would prefer to trailer the bike if we're going long distance and then have the bike to bop around on once we get there.... So long story short I'm test riding a Fatboy with 13" apes tomorrow, and may buy that and sell the old bike. I like that I can easily flat-foot with the Fatboy and the bike in general is way lighter. With the lower seat, lighter weight, and fat tires it's gonna be much less stressful barhopping or going places that have gravel or dirt roads.
I totally appreciate the fact your shared the verse of the day brother God is doing great things in your life!! Great video I got my eyes on the new fat boys with the fat 240 rear tires
With most speed limits between 25-65 mph...never get the speed potential when factoring in the bike. Maybe be the 0-60 times are crucial...but top speed i think is pointless. My evo fatboy is is almost 24 years old, small 1340...plenty of giddy up when i need it.
You should try living a little. I have gotten mine up to 60 in a city block. It's a 25mph zone. But I am looking out for the grannies. And enjoying myself immensely.
I ride a large cruiser as well... HOWEVER, have you ever pinned the throttle on a crotch rocket? I understand the attraction. If I ever owned one I'm sure I wouldn't last long, but it sure will get you're heart racing!
piquat1 Oh I've gotten on my bike, but it's not the norm. Usually when entering a high way i get to get on it. Or pass someone. But once you're crusing, especially with ape hangers, cruising at 60 is just about devine.
I have a 2018 114 with a S&S 475 and the Screamin Eagle Pro oil pump and plate. Running the Screamin Eagle Extreme Ventilator intake and a Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Pro Pipe and a FP3 and the bike sounds and runs simply awesome. I also own a 2015 KTM 1290 super Duke r that has been highly tweaked but I would still ride the Fatboy over my KTM. Not as fast but just fun to ride.
The Fat Boy S is based on the Fat Boy Low which is slammed down and sits lower than the regular Fat Boy . . . and therefore loses a bit of ground clearance and lean angle (by a couple of degrees) . . . and therefore scrapes sooner.
Currently the Herritage and Sport Glide have cruise factory in the softail line, the slim has it as an option when you get abs, can't speak for the rest
I have a 2015 fatboy lo, it has the cruise control on the throttle, theres a little screw underneath the bars just inside the handgrip, you screw it up and it holds the throttle in place for you, not a digital controlled cruise, but still cruise
I have a 2005 15th Anniversary Fatboy with a 95ci motor, which only came in black and silver! Back then everything was 88ci unless your had the Screaming Eagle which was 103ci...
I'm always underestimating how much clothing I need when it's cold. I'm always thinking I don't need my chaps and the unlined gloves will be fine... and then I go faster than 25 mph.
Only reason the S 110 had cruise control is because it has fly by wire throttle. The 103 in the softail was cable much harder to fit cruise control. But agree all new 107,114 &117 should have cruise control.
because of this video I found a 2017 and bought it. I wanted to say thank you, because it turned out to be my favorite bike I have ever owned. Like most Harley's, it is fitted for short riders (5'9") at 6" I didn't fit on it. Seat Hight to floorboards was way too short for me. I put about 1000 miles on my first 2 weeks and ended up in the hospital with a torn groin / hip tendons. I really want to keep the floorboards, so I am trying the only seat I could find that raises the rider, the HD Tallboy seat. That option is a lot cheaper than switching to extended control pegs, and allows me to keep the floorboards. I do drag those floorboards a lot, when they drag, I got about an inch of tire to go. So I might end up getting rid of them anyway. Again, thanks for this video.
I just picked up a 98 Fatboy from the original owner with 28767 miles on it it was garage kept for $3.100.00. It is bone factory stock with owners manual and shop manual and a new in the box set of brake disc not that t it needs them. I sold both my Twin Cams i will stick with this Evo and my 72 FLH. That is a good looking bike I don't like the new head light on the 2020 Fatboy.
The S is built on the fat boy lo chassis which sits a little lower than a standard fat boy. Boards aren’t bigger it’s just lower than a standard one. Same issues as a lo would have when it comes to clearance on turns. I’ve got a 2016 fat boy s as one of my rides. All in all, awesome bike and Harley even offers a 117 upgrade kit for it. New fat boy (18+) with the m8 comes with a 114 however.
Soft tail slim. Fat boy with wire wheels are my two favorite, to turn into a real retro looking bike. I agree I really like the black out look, but the darker a bike is the more the scratches appear. Seems like you have to was the Tank, and fenders every week.
Great video, I'm in the process of choosing a Harley and these videos help. I'm think I'm still preferring the Harley 48 for what I need, but the Fat Boy is tempting me, just because ... it's an iconic Fat Boy 🤷🏻♂️
Hey guys. Ted from Texas checking in. I know this is an old video. But it is a cool video on how do you explain the fat boy. I work at a Harley-Davidson dealership in San Antonio. I Enjoy your show keep up the good work.
The floorboards do drag on mine on a lot of corners, but they fold up to compensate so it's not like they're going to wipe you out unless you one of those reflectors that are glued down with it. I could see one of those grabbing the floorboard and bringing you down. Ride defensive out there friends and ride safe. Nobody owns the roads.
This is my ABSOLUTE DREAM BIKE!!!! But as a Disabled Veteran my check only goes so far. I like that you can ride it and put it away she dont need 3hrs of rubbing from a 1hr ride one day ill get one not today tho.
My last Harley was a 2016 FatBoy S. Pretty sure the suspension is slammed on them. I scraped the floorboards all the time on it. I traded it in for a 2021 Road Glide. I miss my FatBoy like mad,, I loved that bike,,
April and Jack Bobin you do get used to the weight. Yes they are big. And after you’ve grown accustomed to that “planted in the road” feeling, you’ll never want to ride anything else ✌️🎄Merry Christmas!!
Hi, love to watch your videos. Can I ask_ if you had the choice which bike would you choose and why? _ the fatboy you reviewed in this video or the newer 2018 plus version?
Which Fatboy has the best lean angle? I'm tall and like riding in the twisty mountain roads. Can't do the Low but would like a used Fatboy as my next bike.
Nice bike man! Thanks for sharing again! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone at srk cycles and your families! Take care and God bless you all!
Its interesting how perceptions change when you are outside of North America where most HDs are viewed with ridicule. Have HD worked out rear swing arm geometry yet?
I'm not sure what the soft tails are like these days but my dad has a 1998 heritage softtail and I would give ya 10 cents for it. That damn rigid mounted motor vibrates so bad that I cant wait to get off it. My dyna is a much more enjoyable ride by far.
Yup, on that model the shocks are underneath the engine and gearbox. This is not the first time Sean has made a massive error that no motorcycle dealer should ever make. I would never buy a bike from him, he really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
What's up Sean. Hey man do I have to come up there and show u how to launch these bikers better. Lol. All the bikes u get to enjoy. Your 0 to 60s are weak. The videos r awesome keep up the good work. Marry Christmas guys
Hi Sean & Team, hope you all are well... is there any chance to review the new 2021 Honda NC-750x, or the older models NC-750x DCT ABS? Thanks and greetings from Louisiana.
Is this a good first bike? I'm looking for a harley that looks good and is mainly around town. I plan on going on highways but not really traveling state to state. Any recommendations would be dope.
In my opinion, the new Fat Boy is the most BADASS & beautiful traditional Harley EVER made! An aesthetic masterpiece! What could make it perfect for a Big Twin? Pull out the Milwaukee 8 and shoehorn the new Indian 1800cc liquid-cooled Power Pluss bullet-proof Road Glide KILLER! Till that day comes, I'll affectionately cling to my two V-ROD MUSCLES (BEST Harley EVER made!). Screw tradition! I DEMAND performance & reliability for my V-TWIN addiction.
Hello. I have a Fatboy 2007 with 200 rear wheels. My question is: Why is the front wheel not in the middle of the fork? When I stand in front, the wheel is a little more to the left than in the middle. I thought it was something wrong, but I have seen it on several Fatboy. Can you give me a good answer to that? Greetings from Norway.
Awesome bike....full exhaust system, power vision tuner and a s&s cam that bike becomes a monster...tribodyn 20/50 to combat the heat issue with the 110....
@@FelixDKatz-tb7or ....screamin eagle mufflers have catylist in them that chokes the shit out of the bike.....better off changing the whole exhaust to super trapp mean mother 2's ....
fat boy has always been my favourite harley, but comparing to a sport bike is not like a mustang shelby vs lightning bolt more like a pick up truck vs a supercar
Great video, i own a 2013 FLSTF with a 120 R engine,, that is an awesome bike not for a beginner, (curves) but still fun to ride, i wish you a merry xmas,, 👊

My last Harley was a 2016 FatBoy S. Pretty sure the suspension is slammed on them. I scraped the floorboards all the time on it. I traded it in for a 2021 Road Glide. I miss my FatBoy like mad,, I loved that bike,,
Maybe u r right .I have a 2002 and I have never scraped the floor boards.
My 2000 FLSTC has cruise control. Manual dial under throttle grip.
The sport glide has cruise control. John Maxwell shows how to put cruise control on the soft tails on his channel
Great video once again. Gosh I never knew they were so heavy! ~750 lbs!
April and Jack Bobin you do get used to the weight. Yes they are big. And after you’ve grown accustomed to that “planted in the road” feeling, you’ll never want to ride anything else ✌️🎄Merry Christmas!!
All you have to do is to look at the bike... it just looks like the coolest bike ever because it just is.
Nice bike Sean, Fat Boy S not my first choice but you're such a good salesman this video made me want to go buy one, ha, ha, ha
Sean, forget the turbo. Take your Road king over to Zippers Perfomance in Maryland. They’ll turn it into a beast.
You’re a living example of that verse.
Pretty sure the rear shocks weren't mounted under the seat until the 2018 models. I could be wrong.
You're thinkin about the dyna models that HD switched to the softail line in 2018.
Sean/SRK Crew, Great Job always with your Vids, Merry Christmas, Motor City Michigan with a Holiday Wave,
I don’t like Ridershare, but I do like that bike, wanna share?
i love all your videos maybe one day I can buy a bike from ya if my disabilities allow me to merry xmas have a great day
My friend got the brand new Screamin eagle fat boy and he bought his wife dyna Screamin eagle when they came out they was awesome bikes
The blacked out fatboys or Lo and S models are lowered, or have a shorter rear shock than the standard models. Has nothing to do with the floor board
Saw one the other day. Totally want it
Yup This fat boy is awesome but the wheel rims might seem great to some people but I like spokes blacked out for this though.
If your Bike can cruse highway speeds enjoy and ride it is not about 100 mph but the ride.
I am thinking of getting one then eventually I want to upgrade to the S&S 143 twin cam
With rider share, how does the insurance work?
Bud can’t believe you sold out! I definitely get it! Watch all your videos God bless you and your family! Love the fatboy videos love the fatboy
I have a 2005 95 inch its the same motor as the 96 i love it a little slow but Im not that fast anymore either
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year SKR team from New Zealand. 🤙🏻
I love my 2017 Harley Fatboy S
Awesome bike....full exhaust system, power vision tuner and a s&s cam that bike becomes a monster...tribodyn 20/50 to combat the heat issue with the 110....
Boy! dose it get hot too. Although the exhaust is Screaming Eagle as well as the air intake. I am looking up that turbo induction now.
@@FelixDKatz-tb7or ....screamin eagle mufflers have catylist in them that chokes the shit out of the bike.....better off changing the whole exhaust to super trapp mean mother 2's ....
@@FelixDKatz-tb7or ....cobra neighbor hater slip ons would sound amazing too and a bit cheaper....
@@michaelmitchell5909 I have loco dragpipes on my VRod. That pisses the neighbors enough. But you are correct. It can always be louder!
@@FelixDKatz-tb7or ....vrod is an awesome bike too!...
fat boy has always been my favourite harley, but comparing to a sport bike is not like a mustang shelby vs lightning bolt more like a pick up truck vs a supercar
That’s a good comparison, but an ecoboost F-150 is really quick for all practical purposes.
@@stonewp not compared to a mclaren its not
keith brown right, but a McClaren isn’t very useful off the track.
@@stonewp I completely agree and neither is the superbike, hence the comparison.
Great video, i own a 2013 FLSTF with a 120 R engine,, that is an awesome bike not for a beginner, (curves) but still fun to ride, i wish you a merry xmas,, 👊
I had to get over the fear my Floorboards catching. And flowed with the grind. And after 3 years they still look great.
The Fatboy S is based on the Fatboy Lo which is lower than the standard Fatboy so it will scrape quicker and the ride is stiffer.
I live in California and hardly see motorcycles anymore. Where they all go?
Do they still sell the original looking motorcycle they used in terminator 2
