This woman has had more tragedy in life than I think any of us could deal with. Despite that, she is one of the biggest country music stars ever. She lost her voice in the early 2000's ( I can totally relate to that). She managed to claw her way back to being on top of the world. I have nothing but respect for this woman!
She is actually Canadian. She raised her siblings. Her parents were killed in a car accident in 1987 in Ontario. She was 22 years old & took responsibility of the care of her younger 2 brothers & sister. Of all the tragedy's in her life she turned out ok and became one of the best country singer's

Shania is a natural beauty and a real down to Earth person. I watched a documentary of her years ago and it was very interesting about her music career, and also sad. She lost both parents in a car accident & had to be the strength of the family for the remaining siblings.
She actually really is just how she seems! I met her! I was too nervous to approach her but I (rudely honestly I shouldn’t have starred haha) starred in awe, she smiled at me and said come say hi sweetheart. She’s just wow!
Netflix has a recent documentary out now about Shania Twain titled "Not just a girl" I highly suggest watching that. She gives being Canadian 5 out of 5 stars .....she is awesome .

So true!! Where I grew up it seemed that every boy in the 90's wanted to be with her and all the girls wanted to be her. EVERYONE LOVED SHANIA!!! We loved the way her music was up beat, energetic and calming at the same time.
Sadly for everyone, her husband messed up with her best friend, who she took, along with her friends husband , on tour, for emotional support and friendship. So she went back home for quite a few years, and took a break.

I hated country in the 80s, but Shania, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt... changed my mind in the 90s. I STILL hate Coward of the County... an earworm that never really goes away.
Shania’s hit library is huge. Her videos often have fantastic production. She has a lot of amazing official videos.
"Looks Like We Made It" is another great song with a different sound compared to this one. My wife and I enjoy playing it over and over. Married 52 years and that song says it all for us.

She was absolutely the original diva! Period. End of conversation. I am not a fan of too much country music, but I was in college when she was huge, and EVERYONE knew her, and EVERYONE wanted to be her. She was THE one to beat! Gorgeous, talented, and simply stunning.

Your genuine reactions are EXACTLY the point. Thank you. Also, thank you for going to the original video. There are a few times a live version is better, but for many of these songs, the video told the story the band intended to tell. The way we were exposed to much of this music was seeing it for the first time and only then hearing it on the radio.
This was on an excellent album , almost every track of which I used to sing along to. Riding on the country crossover wave of the late 70s and early 80s, the production, the styling, her sass and her voice made this and other tracks like "Man! I feel like a Woman!" theme songs of the Girl Power movement of the 80s.
Shania has the best costumes in music history. All her videos have the best designs featured in clothing.
I remember visiting Las Vegas, and some of those costumes were on display at the Caesar´s Palace...
One of my favorite singers, favorite songs ever, all good for me. Always dug her voice. She's 54 or 55 still looks great. What impressed me about her when she sung underage in a club in Canada. Did so to support her young siblings after both parents died in a car crash. She has character! Said to be a very nice woman also.

I’m not what you’d consider a ‘country’ fan but shania is one of my favorites. Her voice is angelic. Now that being said I woke up this morning wanting to see someone react to poor old dirt farmer by Levon helm. I cant find a single reaction to that. It’s such an awesome song. Mostly for the sound. But Levon’s voice is iconic.

This is as pretty as it gets! Strangely enough, she has a very sad life. She had the number one album by any female on her first major album. Her following two albums after that we're huge hits also. Her albums are one of the few artists that every song is good to great on the albums.

You need to download the whole CD of Come on Over. I am not a country fan, but heard a couple of her previous releases and was intrigued. When this CD came out I bought it shortly after the first song/mv came out. It stayed in the CD player in my car for over 6 months before I put something else in. Every song was great and a lot of humor in some of the B sides, just like this.

She actually holds Elvis up as the ideal man. "What? Do you think you're Elvis or something?"

Ms Britt, you know we almost lost that beautiful voice, she was bitten by a tick and got lyme disease and lost her voice, for a long while...thank God it came back slowly, but its back....shes been through a couple of rough marriages too, she a strong woman..you would look good in that outfit, 😊❤
