Hi there, that 1/8 set from harbor freight works well on aluminum I marked all my aluminum ladders and I use those too for stamp plastic tools like my batteries I put some heat and that's all it stamps really well I know I'm messing out with the hardening of the letter PCs but I won't be using it for metal any way, for hard metal I use the Dremel engraver
Before I ever buy anything from Harbor Freight, I always try to think about how many times I'm going to use the tool in its lifetime and also what types of things I'm going to use it on. I personally would put a punch set in the "consumable" category with bits, chisels, sandpaper, sawblades, etc. because it's something that's going to get pounded on and worn down over time long before the bigger tools will. I rarely ever buy consumables from HF and always go with the higher quality item because it's really frustrating having it wear out on you in the middle of a job.. Good comparison review. Keep them coming.
You gotta use a heavier/bigger hammer for it to be more abrasive
i have a few bags of marshmallows to stamp give me the harbor freight.
On their website, these sets start at 1/8 and ends with 3/8.
Here in Eastern Ohio, this same 1/8 inch set is 10.00, and the 1/4 inch is 15.00, and the 3/8 inch is 22.00 .
I just went out today and bought the 1/4 inch and here is the link to their listings

I’m looking for a good set for my wrenches. I mean. It seems like it does the job but not as well as I would want. Any older set you’d recommend?
The wrench head is heat treated steel and trying to mark it with a stamp will do a poor job and quickly ruin your stamps, no matter who made them. If you're planning to mark something, hit it with a file. If a file won't cut it, don't bother trying to stamp it. Use an electro-etcher or a vibratory etcher with a carbide tip.
It is very bad practice to use your vice for an anvil. You will end up cracking the cast slide of your vice right down the middle. Using the supposed "anvil" flat on top of the main body of the vice should be avoided as well. You will have it beat up and badly marred in no time. It is a handy spot to put one of those Harbor Freight magnetic base parts holders to hold small parts and remind you not to beat on it with a hammer.
HF has an anvil shaped object made from cast iron for about $15 you can put beside your vice and save your vice from being damaged. A piece of rail road track works a treat for a small anvil if you can find some.
Cheers from NC/USA
I know the other brand works better than the Harbor Freight one, but I have to say you were choked up on the handle of that hammer awful far and I wouldn't really declare the blow that you gave them as a strike it was more like a tap, put your hand at the end of the handle on that hammer and really give it a blow and you will see that they do Drive deeper with a good strike when it comes to something rounded like a socket you are going to want to stamp it on the square hole driving end so that you have a flat surface.
LSD ? Well heck yeah ... you and me would have gotten along just fine back in high school years ;o)
WEN engraver is much better than those stamps.
