I worked with the brother of the owner of the boat Terry when we worked for DOC. He showed me the first video the following week. Even got to see the boat afterwards. It had a massive hole punched through the front of the boat from what I would presume was the pressure of the current at the time it sank. From memory I think Terry said the camera continued to run for some time afterwards too.
Sounded like my 350 chevy to me .. Would have been a wee bit off water draining from sump ect before firing it back up (From Experience) . They say your not a real jet boater until you have joined the Submarine Club lol ..
Came up to the rapid too fast then laid off the accelerator. If he had given it full power on the turn he would of been ok. Lack of power gives you no steering and a good bounce off a wave will throw you wide.
how the shit did the motor fire up? i mean water = motor = less horses runing around in the motor?but then it seems like the hole herd is still in the motor? 🤔
Gaming in HD No big. Drain the oil, remove the spark plugs, crank over a few times to push out the water, replace the oil and filter, put fresh plugs back in, prime gas through the fuel system, and you're back in business. (good idea to repeat the process again after getting things all warmed up again)
rreidnauer Uh, no...it's not that simple...if the engine was still running when it ingested water you will get hydro-lock, the least possible damage will be some bent connecting rods..higher RPMs will get you cracked liners, block blowouts and/or catastrophic crank failure..Some guys do the cheap way...like this, the engine might run, but not very long as rods might be bent, lowering compression, but still "firing, the bend angle lining up OK...but the rod(s) are now compromised & weak. Been there, done that...
+John Campbell Same thing I was thinking. Unless they have a snorkel system that creates an instant seal upon turning over or sinking. Crazy video either way.........
Yeah fuk that flag good job, that’s my river I hunt the Motu and the neighbouring Haparapara river horse back since 5, that’s my uncle Neville that pulled them out
Crash it, sink it & then drive it home. Fucken eh mate!

he was throttling into it. thats white water and the pump was cavitating due to the amount of bubbles(air) in the water.
Aaah Beavis?

The South loses again lol
love man . top footage

Kill switch probably stopped the engine when the driver fell out.
other than that. that was sick as fuck
Where is the Motu river?
everyone OK?
Making their way…. The only way they know how.
That’s just a little bit more than the law will allow
Did that really start up again straight of the bottom. Surely not?! Great video looked a little scary on roll over.

+Rob M there was another video of this crash and they had to pull the plugs out and put in new ones, drain oil and it started
It's started bro the scariest thing is the fella Kant swim
maybe it was electric
it was because of the anti-american flag
