I was a teenager in the 1980's and this was the quality of the Christian music that I listened to. Just like the Bible says that silver was so plentiful in King Solomon's day that it was like the dust on the ground, that's how the vast majority of Christian music was back then. It was a different era, the world was overall less hostile and outright rebellious towards God and Christianity, and people in general went to church, were aware of God's moral laws, and knew right from wrong even if they didn't do it. There was much more sound doctrine and right principles. The Christian music reflected that standard. I cannot stand to listen to 99% of what's out there today. You might be called to carry on the torch and hold up that quality of godly music which is so absent. I've been a minister of music basically my whole life, starting in my mid-teens and continuing through until today (I'm 53). So I've heard a lot. Let God use you for His glory in today's day!!!!

This was a verse that my fiance sent to me in a card. Yesterday, the Spirit of God Impressed on my spirit the last part of the verse, that HE is able to complete the work that he started in me. What a comfort to my heart that it is Him that will do the work. I just have to accept that and believe it! It's not all on me! I have my part, but I can trust him to do the work in me.
I so needed this right now! I've had my entire family, except for 2 cousins and two grandparents who have alzheimers, turn their backs on me simply for divorcing my abusive ex. Thank you Jesus that you're not finished with me!!!
