I’m so glad I found this series. My gf and I are getting engaged as soon as we graduate and can afford to do so and doing as much planning as we can now. This is gonna help so much. We’re trying to DIY as much as possible cause broke college students, but this breakdown is exactly what we needed!
Your explanation of the DOC…thank you! I’m one month out and even though my venue offers one, they have been super hard to get in touch with. I thought i was overthinking it but now after watching this it makes total sense…They are there for the venue not necessarily for me. …glad I watched this, now I just need to look into hiring an outside one ASAP 😂
As a Venue Manager and Live Event Project Manager, I’d add A/V to the list. Speakers, microphones, lighting, video projection…a DJ can’t always do it all. It’s always a good topic to bring up with your venue before the DJ. No offense to DJs, but they aren’t AV Techs and they simply can’t always afford sweet gear. Considering renting a good system so your day isn’t ruined by bad speakers, terrible lighting and you can make it special with high quality video projection or a really amazing graphic display. You’d be amazed at what we can do!
I *like* to think I could plan it a myself…. But yeah I need a someone that DOESN’T have adhd or peeps would show up to a naked me and a bunch of dead flowers….
