Hands down best affordable Submariner Homage out there. And like you said, a true use of the word Homage. And I have a 7 inch wrist so my favorite size is a 39. We can’t all be manly like you Dave😉.
As a riichi mahjong fan I like this but I think I'm just done with diver style watches. I think I would've liked 10, 11, and 12 to be the dragons (the "wealth" , the "middle" and the Date Window are the current placements of the dragons, Green, Red, White) since mahjong only has tiles labled 1 through 9 but I guess that would've affected the dial balance too much. I'm sure I'm missing the significance of the green dragon and the white dragon being at the 8 and 6 position. I do like the winds on the bezel though!
I love the interesting twist on a Sub design. But the flakes and sparkles in the dial of the 39mm is not for me. I'd be wiping it down constantly because it looks dusty and dirty.
Both nice looking. Really like the dial on the first one. That mahjong watch really cool idea and good execution.
