Finally, I found the right person showing the authentic style of making this type of desert as my momma makes. Thank you for the receipt, I've been craving for Cambodian sweet. My momma is on her Buddhist pilgrimages to India so she cannot make it for me. Hahaha.... Store bought cannot compare to homemade goodness. More cooking videos please:)
Thank ur mom for making this video. I tried it with the basil seed like she did and it was soooo good. Thank u again. Now I can do either or cause Ii can only use the basil seen for drinks. Now I can use it for this. And don't mind those that makes comments about the seeds not being sesame... My mom said its perfectly normal and her friends uses basil too. Thank ur mom for me.

This is my favorite dessert! I always ask my mom to make it for me. But now that we live 2200 miles away from each other I haven't had it for so long. Thanks for making this vid. Going to the store and attempting to make it. Wish me luck!
Thanks for sharing your country food that I have not see it before even I visited Phnom Penh 3 times. Ha ! Ha ! The little stool is for you to sit on it and grate the coconut , Not to hold it by 1 hand. You can teach your mom that it is better to caramelize the sugar with 2 spoon of water into the pan or pot and pour in the sugar, on the fire but Don't stir until it started to caramelize, just move the pan or pot so that the golden caramel will touch the sugar and slowly all will be caramelized. We use Basil Seeds for a drink. Rose syrup and add in 1-2 spoons soaked Basil seeds which became transparent except the center dot is black. Milk can be added in too if you like. Glad to see you and your mom , both enjoyed cooking and it is a great sign of Happy Family. Wishing you all always Happy and Healthy.
Hi,I love your video very much, the best part is to hear your mother's voice laugh ,it's the most beautiful touched moment .I can't remember when was the last time I heard my mother laugh like that, she passed away longtime ago. Thank you for sharing your video.

She uses black sesame seeds sometimes. Who says you can't use either or. I'm not going to make another video where the only ingredient that changes is the basil seeds. If you prefer sesame seeds then use it.
Hi, Bernymac... thank you very much for posting this wonderful video n all your mom cooking.... please if u can post more dessert recipe if you have time.. watching video is better then juss reading... thanks again :)
num barrang recipe is quite tricky. it you don't use the right measurement the result will be sloppy or hard. you will need 1 cup of each eggs, sugar and flour...all purpose flour or mee flour...just have to remember that the consistency has to be the same. if you measure using cup let it all be in the measurement in cup if you weigh let it all be the same weigh. just mix them up and you're done. make sure there's no limp and the sugar are 100% dissolve.
Thank you for sharing! I just love watching you two having so much fun ! Thanks for sharing your authentic food and your authentic self!
