Mural Arts: Random Act of Dance

City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program (MAP) developed the Mural Mile, which represents a group of 17 diverse murals located in Center City Philadelphia. The Mural Mile leads you from commercial districts to residential blocks while exploring the compelling stories behind the walls that bring each mural to life. MAP produced this Random Act of Dance (RAD) video to promote the Mural Mile. This video of a surprise-spontaneous-choreographed-synchronized dance took place in front of Philadelphia Muses, one of the Mural Mile's 17 murals, by a group comprised of diverse volunteers who love all forms of the arts!
Movement artist Rhonda Moore showcased her vast dance experience through her RAD! Moore has used this initiative to build up the community via synchronized movement for more than year, working within diverse communities in Philadelphia. Her innovative experiment is geared to celebrate life, relationships, and self-esteem through a shared movement experience.
