Great advice. I have always felt strange entering a room alone and was unsure if it was unladylike to approach the bar to order a drink for myself rather than wait for a server to ask my order. Wondering if approaching the bar is still acceptable when I am with my husband? At our circle it seems that most men go to the bar to get the drinks for their wives versus the wives going with them or or their own. The ladies tend to gather while the gentlemen get the drinks, but my husband and I often become separated.
Hi The Demon, you are well within your rights to say no to him and state that you would prefer to keep the interactions strictly professional. If he pushes for more, then you should think about quitting your job and looking for another one.
