    2 questions about Vine City: What was the name of the apartment complex at the corner of West End Ave & Ashby (now Joseph Lowery Blvd), where the Ray Charles Center is now? And did Foundry, Magnolia & all those other parallel streets run across Northside to where GA Dome was?

      Yea those streets went over north side dr before the Georgia world congress center and Georgia dome was there. There was a historical black community there that was demolished to make way for those developments. I think those apartments or projects was called Harris homes that was on Ashby and west end

    Mlk lived in vine city at one point in time?

      Vine City, is where MLK and Coretta and the children were living when he was assassinated; and it is where former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis came to pay her respects to Coretta Scott King on April 9 1968, the morning of Martin Luther King's funeral....
