Just a couple of points before you comment - in reference to all Sinaloa videos there were places I couldn't film at and things I couldn't talk about to comply with RUclips's monetisation policy (I was lucky with Jesus Malverde). I've had videos demonetised (meaning I cannot run ads and earn an income) and blocked worldwide in the past for this reason (in Colombia, Vietnam, South Korea) so I am often purposely indirect in what I say, for example - "every city has varying degrees of wealth or affluence" - in reality what I'm saying is "these areas may be wealthy due to cartel activity". I am not allowed to imply things like that directly. It's also aimed at those people who may think Culiacan is full of poverty and violence, not Mexicans who are experts on the subject. As usual please remember that filming is not like regular sight-seeing. It takes up to 3x longer and I have a full-time job meaning I cannot do every single thing there is to do in one video. Also remember just because something is not shown in the video, doesn't mean I didn't do it! Gracias LOL

Hello David! Have you given any consideration to visiting a place like Tampico Tamaulipas? “They” say it’s quite dangerous there, but I’m not sure if this is the reality.
Cool video, from tropical garden jungles to Sinaloan sushi to beautiful sunsets and a fountain that dances like I do to late night food spot, with an angel alert thrown in. 💕
Yeah there is also Mexican company that makes sake in sinaloa. It's NAMI sake. I had it and it's actually good sake. I'd actually buy it if I could find it where I live.

I saw an interview with the owner of that Sushi place you went to- the name is actually the family name, they are Mexicans of Japanese descent. The son continues the family tradition. So technically, it is ‘traditional’ Japanese food with a Mexican twist. 🇯🇵 🇲🇽
those streets at that hour are really empty, since it is a commercial area, and they close, but all the people are at different parts of the city, where they go to enjoy some food and meet with friends and family, or some bars as well
Love your videos, David (especially your candor regarding good thing, bad things and dumb stereotypes). But jeezus christ am I the only person to notice the wild range in volumes? One minute I’m turning up the volume to hear what you’re saying (because its interesting) and then BLAMMO!!! here comes the music and I’m scrambling desperately for the mute. WTF?
Thanks man, if possible could you let me know any specific points where that's an issue, I'm using different earphones when editing for the last 2 videos and someone else said something similar
I've not changed anything editing wise, speaking parts are always on full volume. Background music is usually set at -15 to -25 and it's faded out. Montage music is usually full volume or -5. Unfortunately my editing software doesn't allow key framing on audio so music volume will often jump from -20 to -5 when a montage begins and if it's trap or r&b music the jump in volume is intentional to provide impact as an audio transition but I'll try getting some better headphones if that's the issue
@@davidostrowski679 This is something I've noticed happening for a while (not just the last two weeks) but was triggered to comment on this video because I was up unreasonably early (damn 6:00am trash pickup!) and was trying to be quiet to not wake the spouse and happened to cue up your video. I was watching happily when the music rang through the house and one of the dogs barked. Sorry to spouse. Rather than changing headphones, I'd suggest using a bluetooth speaker to check your audio mix before uploading. What platform/software are you editing with?
I think it's just the style of my videos! I like to have the jump as an effect. I use filmora X. I always edit and watch with headphones as Mexico is too loud to properly edit without them (dogs, traffic, shouting etc). Plus I often have to edit in Starbucks, on buses and planes. They always sound fine with earphones
Every Sinaloa sushi place I have been to has their main focus on deep fried sushi rolls and sushi rolls covered in heavy mayo based sauces. Your place just basically added jalapeno and some taijin and called it Sinaloa style
Haha classic! The funny thing is I do know how to use chopsticks! One of my Japanese friends actually taught me in Japan once! But it's been so long I didn't want to be a chopstick idiot on camera!
The Mexican food you got this time to be honest didn't look great, I am sure you tried much better and you will be trying better than that one, but well when you are hungry anything ok taste great! :)
Yeah after literally everywhere being closed it's often the places around the corner from your place that you have to try. People be like 'but you have to pour the broth over it!'. I'm like well how the hell would I know that LOL #brothgate21
Just stumbled upon your videos and I'll be following, but I just gotta tell you that those tacos that you stumbled upon are some of the best hard tacos and gorditas, You completely ate those the wrong way and you cheated yourself of the true taste of the tacos. Cheers
Yeah thanks I already know that. If any of the 5 places were open I had researched it wouldn't have been a problem. The gorditas at those were not like this they were more similar to Durango ones

You'll have a long wait LOL
Smack down!
I think we are all waiting for this collaboration 😜!!
@@FinnDelMundoTravel there's more chance of hell freezing over
@@FinnDelMundoTravel : I think if David could do a vid with the Tangerines and maybe they could compare their top 10 reasons they love or hate Mexico it would make for some unique content dont you agree? Its hard to find content like this on YT👍
Oh no, lettuce off xD lol the best part of Mexican food. It is actually healthy, cuz we use lots of the vegetables
Jaja! I actually love vegetables or herbs on Mexican food, like cebolla y cilantro always! But lettuce makes me want to jump off a cliff LOL
@@davidostrowski679 but all the other elements were missing🥺: cebollita curtida, cucumber, sour cream, queso fresco, avocado, the broth, everything literally lol. And I also saw some shredded beef coming off the gordita, you pretty much only had the tortilla/dough. That's how I used to eat these tacos at jack in the box in the US, they're hard-shell tacos with salsa, they're actually pretty good, but they're their own thing. I see though where you're coming from, southern Mexico tacos(cilantro+onion), but in Sinaloa they're different :), and much more delicious, did you try them?
If you're back next time I can ask a friend to show you around, she saw your video because I asked her where this beautiful sunset was and she saw your whole video, she said there's a lotta new cool places to visit and that a local could be of help.
Lovely 🥰 video from my State Sinaloa watching from Arizona I should go back some day.
Do it! Your amazing state's food is still there waiting for you lol
Saludos my friend!!!
Saludos!
15:23 amazing shoot
That was so informative and enjoyable. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it John!
That’s my school!! Chapultepec! Julio Cesar Chavez son went there. We were in the same class lol. Just a little tidbit!!!
You make me want a drone.
Saludos!
Hello David! Have you given any consideration to visiting a place like Tampico Tamaulipas? “They” say it’s quite dangerous there, but I’m not sure if this is the reality.
Considered it but not gonna be this time around!
Im sure its not as dangerous as Chicago.
Cool video, from tropical garden jungles to Sinaloan sushi to beautiful sunsets and a fountain that dances like I do to late night food spot, with an angel alert thrown in. 💕
Angel alert!
You will nees 3 angels at the same time helping you out if you ever visit Chicago Illinois.. hahahaah
@@hectorcampos9244 🤣 I believe you brother.
El árbol que tocaste se llama caminante.
Gracias!
Ty
Lol @ “ RUclips is in town”
Haha avoiding copyrighted music since 2016
Nice and secure place
Yeah there is also Mexican company that makes sake in sinaloa. It's NAMI sake. I had it and it's actually good sake. I'd actually buy it if I could find it where I live.
You aré here un Culiacán Right Now?
Hey no sorry this was filmed about a week ago, I am in Chihuahua now
We still here anytime.😎😁👍
hellooo TIENES QUE IR A LA COLONIA PRIMAVERA LA MAS LUJOSA DE CULIACAN
Ya me fui de Culiacán pero ¡gracias!
You aré expected to eat the gorditas with the Hot broth that Is included AND the salsa AND lemon goes to the broth AND eat everything with an spoon
Crazy! Sinaloa food certainly has its differences! I hadn't eaten since the sushi the day before so I wasn't bothered, at least that's my excuse lol
That VW is proudly German. And I appreciate their art.
Saludos 👍👍👍
🤘😎🤘
El SUSHI DE CARRETA ES EL MEJOR
Another great video and no expats on it..lol
Thank god!
Culiacán my beautiful city, welcome, you should traste our seafood, our shirmp Is the Best, go to the beach and enjoy It :)
I already did! I did videos in Mazatlan
I saw an interview with the owner of that Sushi place you went to- the name is actually the family name, they are Mexicans of Japanese descent. The son continues the family tradition.
So technically, it is ‘traditional’ Japanese food with a Mexican twist. 🇯🇵 🇲🇽
Interesting!
those streets at that hour are really empty, since it is a commercial area, and they close, but all the people are at different parts of the city, where they go to enjoy some food and meet with friends and family, or some bars as well
I guess it was also a Monday night so probably not going to be that busy anyway
You should visit Badiraguato, Sinaloa.
Thanks, I would love to but I'm in Chihuahua in real-time. Will keep it in mind for the future!
This video is about everything except what I wanted to know....
What did you want to know? Let me guess 'is it safe?'
Man you took all the best part from your tostadas. Keep the vegetables
i'm a carnivore lol
I think I'm going to increase volume on speaking parts to +5, it should make it more consistent. Thanks for the feedback man!
Every Sinaloa sushi place I have been to has their main focus on deep fried sushi rolls and sushi rolls covered in heavy mayo based sauces. Your place just basically added jalapeno and some taijin and called it Sinaloa style
Yeah I had that in another place on another day but it was fairly average so didn't want to put it in a video
David you just made my mouth watering...💦💦🍣🍥🍱🥠 everything looks very delicious and si good enjoy, Thank you for this video take care and be safe.🙏🏽🤗
All these towns and cities are dead in afternoon and start to live at night because of the heat.
Lol….”drunk on salmon” 🍣 but it was delicious wasn’t it ?
😂 You Eating Sushi Like a Real Mexican lots of them don’t know how to use chopstick
Haha classic! The funny thing is I do know how to use chopsticks! One of my Japanese friends actually taught me in Japan once! But it's been so long I didn't want to be a chopstick idiot on camera!
2:15 is that the Nazi eagle? And the German flag's color in a Belgian style
Looks like it!
