That was me with my son. They gave me pain meds (for back labor) and epidural. I had to be told to push. It was glorious.

When my water broke with my first child I got in the shower, did my makeup and straightened my hair. I wasn’t about to go looking crazy into the hospital. After that 27 hour birth, I looked like a raccoon from the mascara everywhere, my hair couldn’t even be brushed from how tangled it was (it looked like a damn nest)and my face looked insane from all the broken capillaries!lol So much for looking cute!🤷🏻♀️
No lie, I made the nurses wait to induce me until my husband got there with my Popeyes 😂
They say do not eat but damn is so hard to go there without eating I was 2 days and couple of hours without eating
I had subway right before my nurses came in and did their whole shebang on me. They were the real MVP!

It's ok to be nervous and excited congratulations remember don't go into the hospital with a plan cause plans can change at any time you got this momma when the time comes you'll do great remember to stay calm and breath thru the contractions and if you can't handle the pain it's ok to ask for pain meds or epidural/spinal tap can't wait to hear your breath story if you share it good luck again you got this momma 😍🤗👍😁
It is normal to be nervous, especially for your first. I am a mom of 4, and each time I was nervous. It's a BIG deal to give birth, but try to remember that those nurses know what they are doing and will be there every step of the way!

You ladies are blessed! I physically cannot have an epidural due to having a fused spine all the way down to L5. So all 3 of my labor & deliveries were without epidurals, not by choice 😬

For a first time mom, Casey’s body progressed so well & efficiently. It takes FOREVER for the majority of first time moms to progress in labor. Congratulations !!
Samantha Mumma she was AAALLLWAYS on her feet! Lol but you’re very right I was induced and I felt like that’s why I had my labor in 9 hrs
I was in labor for 21 hours, and an hour of pushing. My water did not break on it's own. The doc broke it right before I started pushing. I wish my body acted like Casey's. I had not had sleep in 48 hours by the time my baby was born. Nesting was a crazy thing for me and my sleeping patterns. Lol
Renee Flinner OH NOOO girl! I woulda died! I didn’t sleep for over 24 hrs but I got induced at 4:30pm and I had him at 2:46 am and I was beat!!!! My body did what it had to fast tho I remember my water breaking at 1am and then bam I had a baby in my arms
Ugh, right! I worked 11 hour days on my feet and everyone told me that meant I would have an easy and quick labor. Wrong. I had to be induced and was in labor for 26 hours. 🙃 Casey is so lucky!
A lot of first time moms also get induced, which makes labor more painful and longer. Casey let her body do what it needed to do naturally instead of rushing the process.

Its a beautiful thing, even with all the ups and downs that come with labor, i can honestly say every birth and every family is so special to me 😭
Also i just want to applaud Baby Masons nurses for recignizing the Decels and acting accordingly! Taking what can be a scary situation and turning it around while keeping family calm but informed is so important!!!
L&D nurse as well and I agree!! I could hear the decel at one point and they already had interventions going. Well done by them 👏🏼

When my water broke in the car I was like “omg I’m peeing ...wait my water broke!!” Every contraction after that I could feel my body pushing and he was born 30 min after getting to the hospital. 😬
