Some very quick bikes.
Most people don't even realize how fast going a 10-second quarter-mile is compared to most 'fast' cars, etc. They have ridden in and so on. Anything that's running 8 seconds or in this case in the sixes, is just absolutely insane especially without wheelie bars! Badass stuff!!

@@ltsgarage7780 Yes I agree it's good to see when they will take off and also see the times
just so you know if you are filming drag racing get the tree as they move into the beams to light pre stage and staged so we can watch the leave as the tree comes down - - when you have equally matched machines cutting the tree can be the difference . Too late for some of these races but for future reference plus you get to see who gets just on the beam and who stages deep which can light the evil red eye
I am all for going as fast as possible but I like seeing mid 7 second bikes AND they can go rounds. Trying to run mid 6's takes the money factor to another level.. anyone can afford to put a bike together without tons of electronics and go 7's 💪💪💪 keep the sport alive!

2:00 mark is that gas he sprays down the intake before they switch to nitro or alcohol?
They will use alcohol or gas depending on how cold it is. On Blown Alcohol cars and even blow nitro cars, we use alcohol and it was real cold we used gas

@@jakegregory388 yeah the other thing I should have mentioned is they started with gas or alcohol basic way to get the motor running since you can't really start an engine directly on Nitro. Certain injected Nitro classes, non supercharged, they will run them and alcohol for fifteen to Thirty Seconds to build some extra heat before switching over to Nitro. And you're exactly right, will there be a bike or car you can definitely hear when they switch over to the main fuel source :-)

they will use alcohol or gas depending on how cold it is
They spray Alcohol in the intake because the engine won't fire up on nitro, so they spray the alcohol until it starts.
Exactly, if they try to start it on Nitro it would potentially fire backwards and other things that aren't good, Plus it's mechanical fuel pump and they need to build fuel pressure. Some classes like a/fuel dragster, start the car on alcohol and actually let it run on alcohol for 30 seconds or so give or take before switching to nitro - to get some extra heat into the heads, because they are RREEEAAALLLLY high compression vs. blown fuel stuff (2 wheels or 4 wheels 😁)

My question is, being that is the U.K, is it a kilometer they are racing or the mile since they don't use miles.

Why is there no shield between the rider and the motor
If the motor comes apart its gonna cut the rider in half
The shield wouldn't even weight that much and not hurt aerodynamics at all

This was more of an observation as far as a fellow racer. I don't drag race but i do road race on the track. With the HP there running at some point an engine is gonna detonate thats just common sense
Chett Smith when these bikes come apart they fall out the bottom & sometimes the side. I’ve been doing this for over 55 years. I’ve never seen a bike motor go up.
