So funingyou gotny he says" Don't worry about the little riff" Thats the best part of the whole song! if you learn anything you got yo learnthat riff!!!
Very awesome lesson my friend. I worked on this song many years ago but basically forgot about it. Your are a very patient & on point instructor. Love how you go through the steps...explain Chord structures & rhythms, then play at slower speed, then full speed. GREAT FOR INTERMEDIATE & BEGINNERS!
shane absolutely enjoy everything you share even after playing guitar for 35 yrs myself! yes im over 50! lol. you manage to include every level of guitar enthusiast/ player seamlessly! in my opinion thats the key to a really good instructor! loved playing along as always! cheers from peterborough! not so far away! thanks for the jam!
Thank you Jeff - very encouraging and I really appreciate you taking the time to write. My best to you in Peterborough....not far away at all. Happy New Year! Shane
Love the play-along series. Do more! I'm curious what main speaker you use for the play-alongs? ...or what you could recommend for us if we're in the market for one. Maybe list the one you use and then a less expensive option that you've heard. thanks. Keep playin' the hits.
Thank you Dan - very much appreciated. I've been having fun doing these videos and it's been so great to hear from people like yourself who are enjoying them. A big thank you and Happy New Year! Shane
Another awesome job and video! Thank you for all you do and happy new year! Just checking to make sure you added "Baptism" by Randy Travis to your list. 😉😁
Great lesson But when i saw a video of John cougar playing live was holding a D shape instead of G Bu its key is G when I tried to play along with it like in your lesson Thanks and Cheers
@@GuitarAtWork My assumption is that in the vid, I can see that John Mellencamp is Capo'ed up on the 5th fret(76 seconds into the vid is a good example). He's playing G to D shapes in the Chorus, capo'ed up, which therefore is Cmajor to Gmajor chords. They are higher pitched with the capo, but still the same chords as the lead acoustic is playing. Combine this with the other acoustics in the mix and you get a bigger sound. Like an added mandolin, perfect for this type of song.

Loved that lesson, I was playing sort-of right along !?!
Fabulous - have fun with it David! Shane

Great lesson
But when i saw a video of John cougar playing live was holding a D shape instead of G
Bu its key is G when I tried to play along with it like in your lesson
Thanks and Cheers
Thanks Adnan - maybe he changed the key doing it Live - singers will often do that to suit their voice from time to time - Happy New Year!

If the last week of your channel is any indication of 2019, its going to be "Shanetastic"!!!
Do you mind if I coin the term "Shanetastic" and make some money off of it? :-)
Thank you Cap - I'm really trying hard to build it. It's difficult to upload regularly but I'm committed!
Shane
Ha! Shanetastic! I love it - see if you can make some dough on it - Cheers!
Shane
Hi. Can you upload the song sheet? I was not able find it in the website.
Thanks
I'm looking for the video how to play could find it
Thank You!!!
Thanks Barry - I always have fun doing these videos - and am always happy to hear from people who are enjoying them. Cheers!
Shane
Besides the BPM what setting are you using on Beatbuddy ?
What is the alternate tuning version?
Shane could you add the settings on your beat buddy.
Hi Joe - sure thing - I am just using the 'Blues 1' pattern that came with the pedal originally. Cheers!
Shane
Without the lyrics it’s hard to time some of the chords
Could you play the C chord as an C/D
Hi Troy - do you mean can you play the C chord as a C/G? If so, absolutely.
Cheers! Shane
@@GuitarAtWork yes thank you
You never showed how to do the riff bro
:)
Thank you JP - Hope you have fun with it! Happy New Year!
Shane
Lame tutorial!🙄
