Beautiful place...brings back fond memories of my trip to the Indian side of this beautiful mountain range..i had done a motorcycle tour of Batalik, Turtuk which are one of the northern most frontiers of India...you should visit Leh Ladakh in India..its got mountains, deserts, lakes everything just like this beautiful place called Skardu!

Since you are in Skardu, I'd recommend you visit the Blind Lake on the way to Shigar, it's a great picnic spot. Shigar Fort is also a must. After that try out the bike rides in Sarfaranga Desert. You can also go for the paragliding in the desert, I had my eyes closed the whole time I was up there. There is also a place called Organic Village in Skardu which is absolutely stunning.

From there, these ranges spread out towards India/Nepal Himalays), China, Afghanistan and parts of Central Asia. This flight passes over them to land at Skardu Airport
