    IMHO, Pale Rider and The Outlaw Josey Wales are two Clint's most enjoyable movies. Clint is the avenging angel. No one does it better! I love how, when the thugs uselessly empty their guns in the general store, Clint waits for them to finish reloading before plugging them all with one shot each. Classic.

    Yet another movie with an all-star cast. I mean, you had...
    1. Clint Eastwood as the preacher,
    2. Chris Penn as Josh Lahood,
    3. Richard Kiel as Club
    4. Michael Moriarty as Hull, and
    5. John Russell as Marshall Stockburn.
    YIKES!!
    Also, I've always loved how Club waded through LaHood's goons to pull Josh off that girl, just before Clint shot Josh in the hand.

      The cap and ball revolvers were still in use well into the 1880's, as the last manufacturer of revolver combustible cartridges did not go out of business until 1888! Colt Single Actions were practically impossible for the general public to get until around 1877 or so as most of the first 3 years of production were sent to U.S. Ordnance. Lots of cap and ball were converted to cartridge or just left as cap and ball. The U.S. Government was gradually selling off all the cap and ball revolvers still retained in inventory, so it was possible to buy a decent condition cap and ball revolver for around a quarter of the cost of a new cartridge gun well into the last part of the 19th Century.

    The best parts of that hickory scene are:
    1) The bucket of water failing to extinguish the lit match.
    2) When Clint tosses the stick away at the end it hits the supine cowboy right in the nards.

      @@kimmorrison9169 Trouble with English reading context I see.
      I drive/ have a 2003 GMC ENVOY, pewter (or is it SILVER??!!)in color,4 wheel drive,4 door etc;
      Also known as an AUTOMOBILE,S.U.V. TRUCK/CAR,CONVEYANCE,RIDE.
      But I and everyone I know just calls it a CAR.
      I have footwear with,heels,metal or plastic shanks and steel toe protectors made of leather,artificial leather, W/ laces,eyelets ,hooks,velcro,bucke fasteners,canvas or other textiles, of diff. color(s),some specialized in their use, BUT I JUST CALL THEM SHOES!
      I understand you are just passing along info someone might not be aware of. Me TOO. Or is that; ALSO,AS WELL, ADDITIONALLY,TWO or TO.
      A DUSTER is a (kind of) specialized apparel,but never-the- less it is still and FIRSTLY a coat.
      A Duster is also a model of car and a tool for clearing dust away,or the person performing the task.
      Take SPANISH (language) for instance.
      Spanish speakers say; CASA BLANCA (House,white)
      English speakers; White House.
      Spanish: correct order
      English: false order
      One has to HAVE a house BEFORE it can be white.
      DOORS: Overhead,roll-up,bi-fold,louvered,sliding,left-swing,right-swing,revolving,dutch,windowed,windowless,steel,wooden,fiberglass,screen,trap, etc;
      But I don't say," Come through my steel door". Do you?
      If one doesn't know the proper name it's ok to use the general term. Miss,Mrs.,Mr. he,she him,her,boy,girl,dog,cat.
      I have a pet CATthat happens to be nomenclatured breed of SIAMESE.
