That 1947 Desoto suburban brouht back a lot of memories. My parents bought a green one in 1947. We put well over 200,000 miles on it. Our first long trip was to Ohio in 1948 from California. It was built like a tank. It was in two accidents. The first it was t-boned. Suffered some damage to the front passenger door. The other car was towed away. The second one it was rear ended by a four holer Buick. There was some paint from the Buick on the back bumper. The Buick was towed away. By the way, no injuries in either case.
