Don't keep putting yourself down Mia. Your game is Always progressing. Put 3 cards into the clubhouse after playing 18 holes each time & get yourself an official handicap. Keep up the content 👌
I always appreciate your PMA, just the type of person you want to play around of golf with, it takes time & you don’t want to be afraid of trying different swings, clubs & approaches, everyone is different, keep swinging 🙌
Mia, you are better than you give yourself credit for. Don’t be so critical on yourself and try to enjoy it more. You’re doing great and it’s a pleasure to watch you playing ❤❤
Mia, remember what Gary Player said: "The more I practice, the luckier I get ." Your "luck" is actually improvement, and please don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing great and working hard while still having fun. You do well for managing expectations for your overall round, and I think it'd help if you did the same for each hole, e.g. your putting didn't suck at all, it's just hard to make many 1-putts when you're over 20 feet away usually 😂😂. If you have a lesson on partial wedge shots and practice those shots more, I think it'd really take your game to the next level too; you already have some feel for the partial shots with your approach wedge, so I think you'd pick it up quickly, maybe Pete or Rick have some time soon haha. Keep your head up and keep improving, your channel is always so fun and energetic!
@@miaellax Looking good! Ball striking looks great (with a few exceptions of course). Not sure how you're reading your greens, but I really like Rick's method of feeling it with your feet (straddle the line, feel which way you're leaning and how much). I think improving your green reading and your mid-range chips would shave off those 7 or 8 strokes you were hoping for. For how new you are, that score is nothing short of amazing!
Great vid Mia! Easy piece of non-swing advice: 1) Positive self talk lol. You played within your abilities and highs and lows are going to happen and part of the game 2) It’s easy to pull the ball left in the rough because the rough grabs the heel of your clubface and closes it through impact. I always aim a little more right when I’m in the rough to account for that
I would agree with everyone about not getting too down on yourself when a shot doesn't go right, BUT you do a great job of not letting one shot effect the next. Keep up the hard work Mia!
Great scoring Mia! It took me a decade to break 90 so you're doing fantastic. I do think a monthly 18 hole vlog would be a fantastic addition to the channel and a barometer to see where your game is at. Keep it up! 💯
This was a very enjoyable video. Certainly you didn't play as well as you would have liked, but you scrambled quite well and kept remarkably upbeat about your round, even your poor shots. Your enthusiasm for the game and your sparkling personality makes watching this a complete joy. Thank you for posting this. I will play my first (nine-hole, par 29 course) round in 23 years in a couple of weeks. I sincerely hope I handle my round as cheerfully as you did yours. I am very nervous about getting back on the course again. Please wish me luck. ;)
This was most enjoyable to watch, your commentary was infectious, and your golf game is better than expected. Please make this at least a monthly habit.
Love your attitude and personality. I wish my average day was as good as yours is. I just had an average day and I shot +37 on 18 holes. Keep up the great work, you are so far ahead of me and have been playing for far less time.
Don’t give yourself a hard time Mia. You are hitting your driver and 7 wood very well, you just need to sharpen your wedges into the green up a bit. I was reading Harvey Pennick Little Red Book the other day and he said something about laying club on your thighs to give yourself an accurate indication of where your aiming, it’s something I have found useful as reference point when l hitting long shots into the green. Finally your no gimmes rule has definitely stood you in good stead as you never looked like missing a short putt. Onward and upward Mia.
Mia, you are a delight to watch, what a personality, and you had 7 pars. You hit so many good drives, and good shots. There’s a lot of opportunity in the short game to improve your score. Love your channel, and can’t wait for next month!
Really really enjoy watching your game improve. I remember when you first started and to see the improvements you’re making is incredible. Driving is really good and you are super fun to watch and I bet you are are a blast to play with!
22:14 love you taking the pin out on this 6 incher 🤣. Fun video, you are just way too adorable. You have a lot of the fundamentals down, just dialing in a couple of areas is going to be a major difference in your game.
Great video Mia! As mentioned in some of the other comments- a monthly 18 hole video would be excellent! Your game has improved tremendously and if you think about it you hit a lot of great drives (with driver)and your 7-wood is your friend! Enjoying the content⛳
Loved the video Mia and yes I did watch until the end. Agee with all the others that it would be great to see your progress with a monthly video. You’ve got a lovely smooth swing and that’s a great place to start, just need a little course management to get you to the pin. Love your enthusiasm and look forward to the next instalment 😊 👍
Love this and your honest and real commentary. Very relatable when you have great shots followed by duffs, misjudged green followed by world class putts. Although if I could play half this well on my next round I'd be very happy 😄
Mia! You have a lovely golf swing and you are improving all the time, but you have to take more consideration of your surroundings. For example, on the ninth you commented that you never go right, but thats where you went! If you look back you’ll see the ball was below your feet at set up. It’s always going to go right in that scenario. You probably don’t need lessons for your swing at the moment, but get your pro out on the course to give you tips on course management. There’s a single figure golfer in there Mia. She just needs to learn how to cut out the bad decision making. I watched until the end! Because you’re worth it!!!
Great video, really enjoyable and I love how it's not too serious. It looks as if the swing, just at a glance , is all upper body first. Hence the pulls and push cuts, pending face angle. Have you looked into zen golf mechanics ( now known as grf golf)? Could be something to look into to work on your sequencing.
That’s really not bad at all Mia and probably pretty accurate to where you are. You have a superb swing and a great thirst to learn and improve. Now you just need to grind out the time on the course …………round after round after round. Really enjoying seeing your progress 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Definitely do more full rounds videos. This was fun to watch, your commentary was funny and you played quickly. You'll play better the more full rounds you play and keep score.
Your channel is so refreshing. I’m so glad to see women golf content creators like yourself that actually take the game seriously and don’t just bounce around in skimpy click-bait outfits. Keep up the good work!
I've been playing regularly for about 3 months now, and I shot an 88 (personal best), then 89 the next day a few days ago. I couldn't believe it I was pretty stoked. Makes me feel better too knowing I'm not the only one out there that hits irons thin and fat, then well, then thin again, and has a loose cannon of a driver lmao. Keep at it! I know I will. And they say it only gets better, even though it doesn't feel like it at times.
Mia, I think you should putt more with the stick out. The stick only really helps if you hit it straight on, with pace. The putt at 22:00 definitely would have dropped if stick was out. You CAN remove the flag stick whenever you want.
22:25 Mia we strive for average golf and are delighted with anything better. I think your golf is good enough to make videos called "Mia Break 85?". Keep up the good work.
Pretty good going Mia! I feel like you need a caddie or an experienced player to go round with you just to give you advice on the less common shots. Stuff that you’ll learn after you play for a few more years anyway. I always used to have playing lessons with my coach when I was a junior and I still remember all Of those lessons 😊
You played well!! You're putting is better than mine. I almost 4 putted today after being on the green in regulation. The 4 foot and in putts are my nemesis. You're so much straighter off the tee than I am. Our mountain course is very tight, one fairway only 10 paces wide with no room to the right and a huge hill on the left of the fairway.
I think more of these episodes would be great it reminds me of Rick's break 75 series. It is cool to kinda get a glimpse into how you play. So it has a bit of a 2 fold. Something to motivate you playing full rounds of golf and us being able to see how you are progressing. Enjoyed the video.
Pitches, chips, and putts! Where scoring happens. Lovely driving though. Your video just reinforces my goal this year to work on my short game. Thank you! And agree monthly update rounds would be awesome!
Very good score despite the poor start; +6 for the last 12 holes is really good - much better than you give yourself credit for. By my estimation you are likely somewhere between a 10 & 12 handicap which is better than the vast majority of golfers. Well done, Cheers from Texas!
Mia, love the vlog, hilarious commentary at times i can bet the camera operator was giggling watching what was going on, but honestly, your game is in pretty good shape, we all do it being our own hasest critic but try and relax and let your game flow, try to aim for bogie golf and then I think you'll find your game will become really solid and that will definitely lead to lower scores...stick with it....
Even with all the positive comments below you are probably feeling "If I only had played better!" Look at it from the other side. Let's say you shot 4 under par for the 18 holes. My first feeling would be boring. Yet another good golfer that puts me to shame. Or to put it another way, we relate. The fact that you are intent on pushing through the challenges of golf make me feel I can too. So it's not about your golf game that makes your videos outstanding it's about your attitude! Loved it.
Please don't give up golf I've only just Subscribed to your channel, if I may just say you have a lovely Swing ❤ Please take care Mia all my very best Simon from the UK 👍
Just love your video... If I could propose... for your alignment, before hitting a shot, pick a spot like 1 foot in front of your ball, in line with your target... Then your feet's must be parallel to that line. Do this with every shot...even on the green. This should help!!! Have fun and a good game. Let me know :-)
Don't keep putting yourself down Mia. Your game is Always progressing. Put 3 cards into the clubhouse after playing 18 holes each time & get yourself an official handicap. Keep up the content 👌
It’s 1 card per round…
I always appreciate your PMA, just the type of person you want to play around of golf with, it takes time & you don’t want to be afraid of trying different swings, clubs & approaches, everyone is different, keep swinging 🙌
Mia, you are better than you give yourself credit for. Don’t be so critical on yourself and try to enjoy it more.

Good video. This would be a interesting monthly addition to the channel.
I think so!!! Thanks for watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Agreed! Good to see the 18 hole rounds as well sprinkled in
Brilliant idea, make it a monthly👍🏻

your commentary is hilarious Mia; honest and upbeat, bubbly at the same time.

Wow ! How your driving has improved Mia , chipping and putting practice will dramatically reduce your scoring, keep it going so good to watch .
Great scoring Mia! It took me a decade to break 90 so you're doing fantastic.
I do think a monthly 18 hole vlog would be a fantastic addition to the channel and a barometer to see where your game is at.
Keep it up! 💯
Made me feel better. Been playing for nearly 6 months. Played 4 rounds on proper 18 hole courses and I've only just broken 120 once.
your positivity is contagious 🙃. Keep it up girl!
Just had a fab game thanks to you! Love your PMA and sense of fun 😀. Welcome to play anytime you’re in Kent - my treat. Keep up the good work MB

she's my favorite
This was most enjoyable to watch, your commentary was infectious, and your golf game is better than expected. Please make this at least a monthly habit.
Really enjoyed this video! Have had all of those moments - obviously you hadn't warmed up - love that excuse! Super video!
Love your attitude and personality. I wish my average day was as good as yours is. I just had an average day and I shot +37 on 18 holes. Keep up the great work, you are so far ahead of me and have been playing for far less time.
A pre-shot routine to help lineup, focus and calm yourself will work you wonders, you got this 🎉
Great job Mia! This is so relatable to me! My skill level is just about the same as yours, so I feel like I'm living vicariously through you.
This is the first time I’ve seen you play since you first started on RUclips. What a difference. You have really really progressed.
It’s an excellent video Mia. You’re driving is class. And you’re a natural narrator. Well done again 👏
you have improved by 30-40 strokes in just a couple of years. Nobody does that, you're amazing !
Love the enthusiasm. Keep getting better.
Ping Chipper would be your best friend around the greens, loved the video
Don’t give yourself a hard time Mia. You are hitting your driver and 7 wood very well, you just need to sharpen your wedges into the green up a bit. Quite possibly the best course vlog I've seen .... loved every minute!
Really really enjoy watching your game improve. I remember when you first started and to see the improvements you’re making is incredible. Driving is really good and you are super fun to watch and I bet you are are a blast to play with!
This video is so wholesome ☺️ keep up the great work 🔝
Thank you for posting this, Mia. Really helped me.
Its been an amazing journey watching your game from the start just getting better and better!!
Great video Mia. Your commentary whilst playing a round is really entertaining (even the third person parts :D) Thanks for sharing.
You have definitely been improving. Especially with your driver consistency and distance. Great job!
You are doing really well. Consistency in golf over 18 holes is so so hard. You have advanced so much since you started!
"I need to remember to straighten up again". Definitely the craziest/funniest thing ever said on a golf course 😂😂
Great vid. Loving the Costa navarino tag on the bag.
22:14 love you taking the pin out on this 6 incher 🤣. Fun video, you are just way too adorable. You have a lot of the fundamentals down, just dialing in a couple of areas is going to be a major difference in your game.
Good stuff here Mia, don't be so hard on yourself that was good golf. Keep grinding and playing full rounds, would love to see more of them.
Thanks for the video Mia, really enjoyed it 👍
Great video Mia!
As mentioned in some of the other comments- a monthly 18 hole video would be excellent! Your game has improved tremendously and if you think about it you hit a lot of great drives (with driver)and your 7-wood is your friend!
Enjoying the content⛳
Mia, I always love golfers on youtube who play real golf. Great video.
HI! Please do more of these. And maybe bring someone along? As i feel it would help you so much not being the only one being awesome on the course!
Love this, it's great to see you play 18. Always entertaining. Wish I had your swing. Keep the videos coming.
Loved the video Mia and yes I did watch until the end. Agee with all the others that it would be great to see your progress with a monthly video. Lumberjacking with that next holes drive😂😂
Love these long form full 18 videos
Mia, my new favorite golfer. Great video!! Your game has really come far. Please give us more videos. ❤❤❤❤
Love this type of video. Cool to see your progression.
Great love the new content. Great golf u have come a long way in such a short time😊

There’s a single figure golfer in there Mia. She just needs to learn how to cut out the bad decision making.
I watched until the end! Because you’re worth it!!!
Mia is just proving the point that one of putting, approach or driver is always good on the day, and the other two are less than adequate.
Awesome video Mia, don't be too hard on yourself, you are a good golfer
Great video, really enjoyable and I love how it's not too serious.
It looks as if the swing, just at a glance , is all upper body first.
Hence the pulls and push cuts, pending face angle.
Have you looked into zen golf mechanics ( now known as grf golf)?
Could be something to look into to work on your sequencing.
Oh man... When I watch your game it feels like I'm watching myself. Trying to talk to the ball where to go 😂
You play like the majority of us.. Hits a nice drive and gotta get closer for the next 4 hits❤❤ love ya content
Hey At least you shot under 90 that’s good! Keep on grinding! Your getting better 👊🏽
Great shooting MB, keep at it. Going through a similar journey myself.
We have all been here! 😂
"I give up, this game really sucks"
Next shot after
"ooo that was really nice! "
🤣🤣
That’s really not bad at all Mia and probably pretty accurate to where you are. You have a superb swing and a great thirst to learn and improve. Now you just need to grind out the time on the course …………round after round after round. Really enjoying seeing your progress 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really good video keep them coming!!
Every time I hear “stayyyy uuhhh left” from Mia I will crack up now that I know she’s just trying to figure out right and left😂
That was fun Mia, thank you. 😎🇺🇸🤟
Finally a golf channel I can relate to!
I've been playing regularly for about 3 months now, and I shot an 88 (personal best), then 89 the next day a few days ago. I couldn't believe it I was pretty stoked. Mia, I think you should putt more with the stick out. The stick only really helps if you hit it straight on, with pace. The putt at 22:00 definitely would have dropped if stick was out. You CAN remove the flag stick whenever you want.
Your average golf is my amazing golf. Your drives are 🔥 well done Mia.
You should definitely do one of these 18 hole videos at least once a month.
Good to see you play 18 holes great content. We all know you can play better than you did. Keep up the great videos 🤗
Love the energy!!!
22:25 Mia we strive for average golf and are delighted with anything better. I think your golf is good enough to make videos called "Mia Break 85?". Keep up the good work.
Fun to see how you have progressed❤
This was the most charming 18 holes I’ve seen, and glad to know I’m not the only one who talks to themselves out there 😂
Your game is coming along great!

Amazing as ever. Remember to picture your shot, set up, wipe brain and swing easy 😊

Very relatable and honest golf.
14 over whilst shooting a video and offering full commentary is bloomin good. Keep it going and you’ll be single figures before too long. 🤞💪
Your going down... and I am going up ... Keep it up MIA .. Brill
Kool golf course and I love your Adidas gear ✌️. Keep at it and enjoy your golf !!
This is pretty much exactly how I play, except you are way more positive about your game haha.
I think more of these episodes would be great it reminds me of Rick's break 75 series. It is cool to kinda get a glimpse into how you play. So it has a bit of a 2 fold. Something to motivate you playing full rounds of golf and us being able to see how you are progressing. Enjoyed the video.
Mia great little video are we going to see the golf girls ,and gabby golf girl playing foxhills this summer you was fabulous across the pond ❤😊
Your driving was excellent! 88 is a decent round, you definitely put too much pressure on yourself!
Think a few higher than that. I hit 88 the other week and am a 17.6 Handicap.
Handicaps are based on your best scores, in this video Mia didn't play her best (she was +8 after 6 holes). At her best she is a 10 to 12 handicap.
Excellent video. Hugely entertaining. Look at the back of the ball until after it has gone.

Mia you have great swing great video keep it up 😊
Nice putt on the 15th hole. Your drive on 15th was good because you said you weren’t on the right side. Your hitting the ball with good contact.
Playing military golf left right left ha ha 😂😂❤
😂 this is great thank you Mia
Your attitude is infectious and that will eventually translate into better golf scores. Don't sweat it ;-)
Please don't give up golf I've only just Subscribed to your channel, if I may just say you have a lovely Swing ❤ Please take care Mia all my very best Simon from the UK 👍
