Borodina was never comfortable on that top B flat. I heard her in Amneris on three separate occasions and each time she'd spread the top. Great performance though.

I saw her Amneris as well. An absolutely gorgeous, rich, velvety, dark voice like the finest wine, which she played like a cello. Unfortunately she didn’t have the high notes for the Judgement Scene (same with Eboli), but most mezzos have the same issue and usually cut that note very short.
