I wad confused as to why they named it this because earthquakes are always underground until I read the plot and then it made sense

It's kind of weird with Amy or whatever her name was. She hurt her leg enough to not be able to go up the stairs without help, but a few minutes later she runs up stairs when she's scared without limping. That does not make sense, did the actress forget she was hurt?
