Nah, I think its a great transitional album. You could easily say they used "boring pop arrangements" on Icon and Draconian Times bub. Paradise Lost have always been Paradise Lost. The only dud in their discography I can think of is "Believe in Nothing". Everything else was genuine.
So gloomy. But the melodies are SO catchy and burrow their way in to your mind. Long time follower since '92.
