Loving the weekend vlogs! No idea about the brexit stuff, all very confusing and worrying. What dirty wee buggers to spit chewing gum out in someone’s home. Chewing gum has xylitol as a sweetener which is very toxic to dogs, my dog ate one piece a few years ago and was on a drip in the emergency vets overnight as it drops their sugar levels. Looking forward to the gardening vlogs and home time starting soon 😃

It is not dried food that causes the poop problem. Poodle cross breeds have a delicate stomach. Mine will only eat high quality dried food and carrots and she is fine. The raw meat diet doesn’t agree with some.
Some dogs do not need high protein so best to feed ,butternut squash,carrots,cauliflower, suede,white cabbage,sweet potato .Just steam with bit of chicken .Dogs do not absorbe wheat ,grains,sugar,chocolate . I feed STEPUP kibble from Pets at Home and feed vegetables and make my own dog biscuits with oats,ginger,cinnamon ,all sorts.Also give cod liver oil with vit a and d daily .dogs love it .Also dogs do not absorbe hormone D3 from sun due to their coats preventing this so I give pro d vit D3 vegan capsules with k1 and k2.Perfect stools.! Could you please bake variety of healthy wheat free dog biscuits .You could create recipes we could all try ,anything you do to demonatrate and promote feeding dogs a healthy diet . Doggy recipes.! Big hugs both x
You know Marc I'm from N.Ireland and I'm not fully clear on the backstop! You are right Mark, the DUP are not representative of most of the people of N.I. who voted to remain. Ironically they have entered into some sort of quid pro quo arrangement with the Tories who needed their support. Most of us in N.I. feel chronically embarrassed by the immature politics of the DUP and totally unrepresented in Westminster. In fact, if it wasn't for the regard shown by the EU, regarding the implications to Ireland of a soft/hard border, we would have no one representing us at all.

As the Brexit referendum was initially being discussed the Northern Ireland border and the decades of war and eventual peace process was a really important aspect of the Brexit implications which sadly not enough people focused on. It’s not just about having a hard border which would negate trade and free travel between the north and south but it also leaves the peace process in a precarious state and that’s why the back stop has become the abiding major issue. No decent person wants to see the border affected due to this, yet of course, the politicians are in it for themselves - the DUP with their Tory bribes etc. I think the glasses in the park were a work of conceptual art 😂 Velvet Buzzsaw with the scene in which the guy mistakes a pile of rubbish bags for a work of art ? 😉 You guys are amazing parents and what a shame some kids were so disrespectful to your home. That’s shocking re the gum. My fave household task is changing the bed ...especially if the bedding has been outside on a sunny day and smells of fresh air. 💜

I'm from Northern Ireland so am constantly trying to keep up to date with the plans regarding the backstop. There has been quite a bit of ambiguity so it is all a bit confusing if you ask me but I'll try to explain it as best as I can from what I've gathered from the news etc! (As far as I'm aware) The backstop is a bit of a loop hole in Brexit. With EU citizens having freedom to travel within the EU, most EU countries have open borders. With the UK leaving the EU, technically a hard border should be created between Ireland and Northern Ireland as NI citizens will have lost their EU rights to travel freely. However- this cannot happen for many reasons. Firstly, NI is one of few countries that gives every citizen the right to dual nationality if they desire it (British/Irish). Therefore if there was a hard border, could those with an Irish passport pass through freely whereas those with a UK passport could not? There are also major worries that if a hard border is set up, conflict will return on the island and problems that occurred when there used to be a hard border, will return. The main aim is maintaining the peace in NI and ROI after working so hard on the peace process for years so most people are in agreement that a hard border definitely cannot happen and therefore will not happen. Thus, the backstop idea was formed. HOWEVER, unionists such as the DUP do not approve of this plan as it means that Northern Ireland will be treated differently to the rest of the UK with Brexit. The concern that the DUP have is that by separating Northern Ireland from Great Britain in this way, this may lead to a collapse of the union and increases the potential chance of NI becoming a part of Ireland which is the opposite of what the unionists want. I'm not really sure where we are going to go with the backstop because as usual, no one can seem to agree. (P.s, love the vlogs- best way to forget my uni stress after a long day!!!)

There would therefore need to be some sort of controls between NI and GB so that the EU trade doesn't freely travel to the whole UK. But then that means trade in NI will not be freely travelling to the rest of the UK which undermines the concept of the Union ! Bit of a tricky situation!
As a New Yorker my advice on the mice situation is 1) find their food source 2) find their homes and block entry to them 3) set up mice traps (humane ones preferably) 4) call an exterminator.

Careful with nurofen Nadia, I used to take it, not often, for my back, now have lots of digestive problems because of them, warnings should be on front of pack not just on leaflet inside x

I am so happy you guys brought up brexit. Its been my dream to visit the UK and I've finally saved up for a trip. The only time I can go this year is around Easter, about 3 weeks after Easter. I am a bit scared to travel though in the event that there's civil unrest? What's the mood there? Do you guys think it will still be okay to travel to London post brexit?

I`d be devastated if "friends" left my home like that! Mind ,when i was 39 wks pregnant with my eldest ,my MIL threw a party for her fiance ,who was going back to Saudi ,where he worked in security.They were ALL 55+ ,and i`ve never seen such a state ,ever.My (late) hubby and i were asked to clear it up!! I made an hour 1/2 ,then threw in the towel!! I also love cleaning ,just not 2 weeks away from giving birth!!. As for Brexit ,i just wish the politicians would quit back stabbing our PM.Wouldn`t want her job for all the tea in China! I am so happy you guys brought up brexit. Its been my dream to visit the UK and I've finally saved up for a trip. The only time I can go this year is around Easter, about 3 weeks after Easter. I am a bit scared to travel though in the event that there's civil unrest? What's the mood there? Do you guys think it will still be okay to travel to London post brexit?

I`d be devastated if "friends" left my home like that! Mind ,when i was 39 wks pregnant with my eldest ,my MIL threw a party for her fiance ,who was going back to Saudi ,where he worked in security.They were ALL 55+ ,and i`ve never seen such a state ,ever.My (late) hubby and i were asked to clear it up!! I made an hour 1/2 ,then threw in the towel!! I also love cleaning ,just not 2 weeks away from giving birth!!.
As for Brexit ,i just wish the politicians would quit back stabbing our PM.Wouldn`t want her job for all the tea in China! Funny ,when the Seedy men slating her can`t come up with anything better.Makes me despair.

The vet on the telly was saying that chewing gum is dangerous for dogs, I think it’s the sweetener in it, and anything with sweeteners like cakes and stuff chocolate muffins with sweeteners you don’t realise how much food contains it. Looks like Kiki had a great party xx
The chewing gum is really really poisonous for your dogs, xylitol used in gum Kills them.
