    I bought one with a little cosmetic damage in 2007 for $1800 and still have it. 75 thousand miles on it. Never had an issue. Great all around bike.

      Same here, I have a 14' cbr650f but I was thinking of looking into buying a 600 hornet as my other bike. Same year with 9000+ miles on it and garage kept for 2800 obo.

      I have an 04 with one tooth down in the front. My buddy told me it behaves more like a 1000cc. It's a pretty rowdy bike. I love it.

    I'm jealous and at 54 that's the bike I need hopefully I can find one around springtime that or the 919 would be awsome.plus I'm a 39 year veteran mechanic so there are no problems that bug me. Also 600's are much more involving Cruz anybody can square off a corner and pull the trigger but to RIDE and enjoy the 600's rule...just my opinion after stepping down from litres bikes in the 90's

      Got 2 of these exact 599s (each less than 1k miles) and 2 of the 919s (3400 miles and 5500 miles).... the 600 is a sporty bike, the 900, well got grunt! Both are balanced and very nimble. On my 600s, I've fitted the Matris fork cartridges and Ohlins rear on one and Matris rear (shocks that is) on the other.... completely different from stock - far more "balanced" and "sticky". All the pre 2007 Hornets are superb, what was Honda thinking in 2007?!

    I bought mine with 1 tooth down in the front, so my experience is a tad different. Mine likes to lurch a bit in low rpm's but when it gets up around 7k it really goes. 2nd and 3rd gear have amazing torque.

      I've just bought one. Come down from a GSXR1000, I'm getting old and don't really want/need that power any more. How much top end would you say going down a tooth at the front knocks off? I wanna get to 100mph quickly, but am not arsed about trying to do 140 on a naked 600!

    I want one sooo bad but they are very hard to find in good condition like they are all crashed. I'm willing to trade my 07 919 for a 600 and cash i just have to find the right person and bike. Don't get me wrong the 919 is awsome it's just that i'm 55, don't bounce anymore and the Man upstairs told me to slow down so thats the plan. Where are you guys with the 600's?

    Where do you live in Nebraska ? I’m looking at at CB600 in Iowa and I’d love to see yours in person first to get an idea of what they’re like.

    Would you recommend this as a first bike for a complete beginner?

      Depending on age and maturity. It isn't crazy powerful but has enough to get you in trouble.
      Weight is decent and it tracks well. Simple maintenance is a plus as well. If you can control your right wrist, you will be okay.

      I had this exact bike as my first street bike after growing up on dirt bikes, but having not really riden anything in about 10 years. It was the prefect bike for what I wanted. Didn't feel like I outgrew it for like 3 years.

    i really wanna try and buy one .. i have an er6n but i really want a 4 cylinders. It works like a 4 cylinders (torque is at high rpm) so why not taking a 4 cylinder. Maybe i'll take an XJ6 but it's a bit more expensive, might try this one out

      It's really good bike don't listen to this guy he hasn't got a clue it's got a really good power band at 1100 revs if you dare to go there that's what I mean it's fast get one if you can and enjoy serially. Out

      I had a ninja 636 and I wanted to slow down so not to lose my license! I have a ER6N.. lovely bike and everything.. solid.. but I want a Hornet 600 now.. very reliable bikes, just replace the regulator as soon as you get it ;o) these go and take the whole bike out! and they are 30 quid new.. cheap and easy to replace!

      It is an awesome bike, but it’s not overly fast. You just un-experienced.

    • @zaydgill545
      @zaydgill545 Год назад

      It's very fast but if we're talking compared to other motorcycles it's not ridiculously fast. It's all about relativity. It really gets up and goes above 6k rpm but there's bikes dat will wipe the hornets ass and they don't even need to touch 6k rpm and this is coming from a hornet owner
