    I planted 2 of them in Maryland zone 7a. They bloomed and then hit with cold and said good by to fruit. The professional nurseries are supposed to tell us that but they are too concerned with selling these trees than what actually works. Thank you. You have helped me more than the Nursery I bought them from.

    I planted a alberta peach tree 2 weeks ago and that also started blooming today...

      Alberta is an awesome peach but since it’s your first year you should pull all the flowers off now unless you have other peaches its help pollinate. If you have other peaches then wait until the pedals drop then pull them off.

    I'm growing in Zone 6a/6b NE Ohio and I've have great success with what was tagged Hal Haven White.
    Harvest early mid August. They look almsot green with red blush.

    Suggestions for Zone 9? Peaches or other fruit trees?

    • @UncleClaysOrchard
      @UncleClaysOrchard  7 месяцев назад

      I live in the north and i dream of growing citrus. Which you get to do in zone 9 so my anwser would be oranges, lemons, manadarines! Your list of citrus is endless! Good luck

    Red Haven is a late bloomer. You may have a mislabeled tree. I like what you are doing though.

      so much mixed information lots of people i talk to say their red haven blooms early, even some websites claim it blooms earlier then most. That’s what’s difficult with fruit trees always mixed info online

      No, it's not. I have one, zone 6B. Just gotta hope we don't have another early from.

      I think the biggest problem is buying trees that are trucked in from other zones. Red Haven is supposed to do well for blooms and fruit that are at risk of a late frost snap that can cause havoc on other types. I live in Massachusetts zone 6b. I'm growing Red Haven and Majestic that were started locally.
