Developer C: So, should we also release this massive guidebook with all these lore details and development information abroad?
Developer A: Nah. Translating is hard.
Developer C: Yeah, I guess it's not that important. Same deal for the character files a decade down the line that will include short stories expanding on everyone's background and story in between titles?
Developer A: Fantastic idea.
(I should probably watch your videos in that series at some point. I wanted to read it myself, but I didn't know at the time that the Character Files book was not getting released here.)
A long time ago, probably back in 2006/2007/2008 there was a older thread that was a translated interview with Nomura on Reddit (I remember reading it, but I am unable to prove this sadly. I can no longer find it). He was talking about FF vs 13, and how he wanted to connect Kingdom Hearts with it in some way and possibly have Sora visit FF worlds.
Fast forward to 2020. When I saw the Yozora secret ending in the DLC I seriously teared up. I never thought I would see actual proof of this interview in some form or fashion. To this day I still have not heard or seen anyone talk about this interview. Is there anyone else who remembers this?
I remember at least back in 07 there being random talks of this in comment sections for those fake kh3 trailers where they just used a bunch of ff13 and versus 13 trailers lmaoo. I vaguely remember what you're talking about but it was being paraphrased in comments back then so I never read the actual interviews.

Damn really versus 13 was a huge loss for everyone tho in middle school in computer class I watched versus trailers so many times and couldn’t believe the direction they were going but that hype was real just like gta 4 that shit was groundbreaking

@@advent_ds yup final fantasy 8 was my favorite and ffx, I went backwards to go play tactics and crystal chrinicles dissidia and all the main titles but that versus 13 got everyone’s attention next to gta 4 lol blood with live combat didn’t seem like an ff title at first

Thinking about how hyped people once were for versus xiii makes me feel bad. Sure, we got ffxv and we're getting a versus XIII-like story with Yozora in phase 2, but it still hurts to think about what might have been.
Still kind of cool they like our version just as much as we like their version in terms of voicing haha

Wait come to think about it prodigy you should do a video on ancient xehanort keyblade the eye on it I swear it reminds me of soras looking at some old videos I just kept thinking that wonder what twists were in for in this franchise in the near future
I'm still just lowkey salty we still dont know if Xehanorts name is meant to be an anagram of No Heart or Another, if those have any significance.

Speaking of yazora I have a theory. Yazora tells sora before their fight his name isn't actually yazora and then he says the exact quote sora says in the beggining of kh1 intro. Now hear me out if yazora isn't his real name. Why was he calling sora a liar and seemingly shocked when he said he had to save him? Is his name sora too?

I just clicked for the missing masterpiece, Versus XIII
I actually theorized that Sora could tap into more power because of his multiple hearts, but this was pretty eye opening as always!
Well if anything I learned that Sora will always be the main character (and that’s not a bad thing) . I guess the idea of people playing as Yozora in the next installment is dream at this point
