Biggest risk of this route for india 🇮🇳 is its largest part is passing from KSA or Saudi 🇸🇦 Arabia. Or control is in hands of USA 🇺🇸. If USA put sanction on india 🇮🇳 entire route will be useless for india 🇮🇳 over night. .. ...
CPEC need of China because it is shorter, cheaper and provides direct access to Arabian Sea otherwise they have to take long route through the choke point of Malacca Straight. But their is no such need in case of India it will be wastage of time and money.
And i thought there would not be any good alternative of CPEC. This corridor is far better and a game changer. All the Chinese investment will be wasted ;)
The present Suez route looks far better than this route because there is only one cargo ship and 1 load and 1 unload is needed in Suez route whereas you need 4 unload reload in the proposed sea & land route, so cost will be higher with no new country to trade with. But if India invest more in Iran side, we can trade with new countries like Armenia, Azerbaijan, central Asia etc. This will give more ROI to india.
its not India centric, this project is more about inclusion of every country coming, also if we're crossing through the insides of UAE, Saudi, Jordan & Israel, it implicates, we will have better access to their markets

Road network is 70% built, Train network is already 60% built parallel Oil pipeline is also 40% built. So central Asian countries and Russia can reach warm water ports of Iran in arabian sea and also connect to North Africa and Gulf Arab plus also go forward to east Asia too. These countries are energy exporters, grain and heavy machinery exporters. Reverse trade is also possible like carpets fruits etc. It's also 30% cheaper than suez canal for them. Some parts of eastern Europe and turkey afghanistan and even China can use this route selectively. India is not recognising the opportunity in resolving Pakistan Kashmir and China issues can lead to a huge huge boom in it's economy and that of whole region. Just to placate the hindutvavadi opinion we keep this issues on soft boil at the back burner. It's time to resolve these issues. Gulf Arab and other energy producers have trillions of dollars in future earnings which they can invest not just in India but this whole region west of India to make it a huge economic power house. But we are stuck in medieval politics within India.
