That very first piece was Corningware. I have some of that still in use after 52 years. How cute was that it’s bitty tiny bottle!? As I’ve said before, “Who’d have thought there’d be anything in all that goo that would amount to anything interesting!” WOW! So, so much as it turns out. Tiny bottles, marbles, Willow pattern, insulators, jars and bottles of all types, perfumes, mustard….the lot! Good pickings, the lot, Matt. Oh by the way, Ponds cream was purely for the face I believe. Mum, now passed, used it sixty to seventy years ago. Hope you had a lovely Easter. I did, just loafing around and giving away chocolate eggs to the grand kids and to some carers and dear, old, lonely souls in my sister’s nursing home. They deserve as much attention as anyone! ❤️🐇🕊😊

Good afternoon Matt, Thank you for bringing me along on your lark. I've been self isolating this past month. To much stress and just waiting and hoping for spring/warmer temps to hit my area, so I can start working in my garden, planting and watching things grow and also searching for eatables throughout the surrounding forest along with my dog. The waiting part is the most difficult but, I do know from many previous years that, one day soon... It will just hit and it will be spring/summer!! Until then, I'll keep getting my veg starts going and surviving.
I love the different marbles you found. The orange/yellow cats eye one being my favorite with the clear blue almost being on the same level. The tea pot lid was also a very nice find. See if you have or can find a marmelad pot/jar that lid would fit on. I know that is what the larkers in the UK use them for when they find nice tea lids. ☺

Good morning my friend. Wishing you the best in your search for eatables and warmer weather. The is a part of me that is envious of your isolation, besides my family there’s not many more humans I would need to be near and I have no prior history of any trauma. Just kind of an anti social individual. Thanks for checking in, best to you.

@@underthesurface4435 Yes, I know what you mean. I would go totally bonkers if I had to live/survive in a town. And, gods forbid in a large city... I'd be totally certifiable and have to wear one of these white "hug yourself" contraptions! 😱
But yeah, all joking aside. I am very thankful that I had the foresight when my kids were still young teens, to buy this place out here in the country/woods. I've had it for some 20+ yrs. now, even if I've been bouncing all over the world and living in various off the beaten paths, after the kids flew the coop. 5 yrs. in off grid mid BC Canada being the last one, which I came back out here 3 yrs. ago. I've never let this place go... Rented it out once when I was gone for about 3 yrs. Will NEVER do that again!!
I've so far, never been afraid of being on my own, regardless of if it's a for me new and strange country, as long as it's not around people or, at least not to many people. I really loved the total isolation/solitude of the mountains and wild where I lived in Canada, volunteering as a wild life assistant. Aiding and helping wild animals, both small and not so small... Especially after the raging wildfires we had 2 yrs. in a row... 😢😣
Brought my now 6 yr. old female Wolfdog that I bottle raised from day 1 since her mother died after giving birth to her, with me when I came back here to Sweden. Also have a few cats and I'm perfectly content and happy sharing my life with them.
I do have my 3 now adult children and one granddaughter of 16 months. See them about once a month but, they know where I am if they need me and know that come hell or high water, I'll be at their side ASAP if need be... Other than that, I don't drive to town or be around people more than the once a month shopping I do. Which I sleep for near 24 hours straight after I've come home and put the stuff I've bought away...
Have had many folks ask me how I can handle being alone 99.9% of the time... No problem, I don't feel lonely. I believe being/feeling lonely is a state of mind, which I don't have... I have my pets, the surrounding forest with all it's wild inhabitants and also my kids if I need them so... All is well (knock on wood) ☺

Lovely selection of finds! Were you able to fit the pipe and pipe stem together??
I LOVE the bright blue marble and the amber-y one! And the insulators!
Was the whiskey flask marked “Forbidden” a Prohibition one, likely sold by a pharmacy “by prescription only”!
I follow a podcast (“The Dopple” with comedians Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds) where they talk about history and also read from a historical newspaper (shorts called The Past Times). A recent newspaper they read was dated December 6,1933 from Madison, Wisconsin, and had a couple of very funny articles written the first day after the end of Prohibition. Madisonians did not wait to get out and imbibe. Unfortunately, the only alcohol available in any quantity was 5.5% beer and bootlegs alcohol.
