Lance and Gabby, thank you so much for doing this video. I passed my test this past Saturday, in large part to this video and your Key Notes video. I really appreciate the hard work you do and your labor is not in vain.
Thank you so much. I was able to pass my Mlo exam because of your videos and material. Also Affinity! The rocky studybuddy was essential as well. Your the best!!❤❤🎉🎉🎉
My pleasure! I'm grateful that God enabled me to play a role in your success journey! And thank you for those sentiments. Your words really warm my heart!
I take my test this Saturday. I am pregnant so almost immediately after I start reading my book I want to fall asleep. Lol 😂 I am binge watching your videos everyday until test day and even while I sleep. Hopefully I pass the first time and if not I’ll be back to studying your videos. Thank you for this.

I know everything on this video and studied so much from the class I took yet when I take exam like half of the questions were never taught. So that's why so many people fail it.
It’s amazing how I don’t remember reading half of this stuff in my book. I literally just yelled, “Wtf are they talking about?” 🤦🏾♀️ I should’ve studied with this video because when I took my test I was so confused. The first few questions, I was for sure they gave me the wrong test. 68% of confusion 😂 I’m glad I’m “hear” now preparing to take another wack at it soon. We already have to retain so much. I wish they didn’t reword questions like that on the test. We’re already in brain overload.
Hey Clay, I’ve been watching your videos for awhile and love them. I got a 73% on the exam and had a quick question for you that really stumped me and was hoping you could answer it. The question was: “what happens if an applicant discloses a debt to you that wasn’t on his credit report?” Just wanted to see if you had any input on that question. Thanks so much for all your help! :)
Hi Kam, this will be a great question to ask in the free MLO Study Buddy facebook group because they stay up-to-date with all of the information. www.MLOStudyBuddy.com

Purchased the practice test finding it extremely helpful! However I did notice a few simple erros, In case you wanted to go back and double check. For ex. How many pages is the LE, you have the answer has 3 years..
#1: Start the MU4 application on the NMLS website even before you secure sponsorship because there are several things you can get done (like fingerprinting and background check) even without the sponsorship. Or course, sponsorship will have to be done eventually to fully complete the MU4 but you can definitely start the MU4 process without the sponsorship. In fact, it is best to start the process before you get sponsorship because the fingerprinting and background checks can take a while to complete. So, it is good to get them done early. That way, when you finally secure sponsorship, the company will be able to hire you quickly without having to wait around for your background check and fingerprinting to be completed. #2: I think the best career strategy for newly-licensed MLOs is to talk to the local realtors in your area and ask them if they can help you connect with a local, successful MLO who would be willing to take you on as his or her loan officer assistant. That way, you will learn under a successful MLO and you will be paid a steady income. And then, after about a year or two, you will be fully prepared to venture out into a 100% commission position. And with the awesome experience you gained by working under that successful MLO, you will be able to become a successful MLO too. The MLO career is not as straightforward as some may think. The nature of the work is very complex and so, in order to succeed, you need to find the right mentor. Don't worry about how much the company is going to pay you. Just prioritize securing a super successful MLO to be your mentor. In the long run, you'll end up having a very successful career. Don't chase the money. Hey guys so I took the test for the first time on Saturday. I used Compu Cram and listened and took notes from Mr.ClaySmiles MLO Case study playlist. We’ll I got a 77% which means I just passed. But now I’m good for 5 years and this was my first try with very limited studying. Thanks so much claysmiles!!
I took the 20 hr class about 14 months ago, took the state exam for the first time about 2 months ago and didn't pass it by 2 points. ... I see all the positive feedback below - I will start studying now from the videos and then apply for the exam.. my question is.. do I have to retake the 20 hr class ( I dont believe so ) but just want to confirm... TIA
Hi Gilda, I'm not sure how long the 20 hr class is valid for. You should double check that. You guys are going over rules a lot but the actual test which I took twice ask a lot of everyday situations of an MLO the actual test does not ask about so many rules but more situations that’s what you need to go over more. That would be way more helpful.
Good point Jack. The rules definitely help in bein analyzing the situation but, ultimately, you are right -- The ability to analyze the situation is more important than the memorization of the rules.
Did anyone know how to make a CD 💿 I’m willing to pay who can make CD. I’d like to listen in the car. I’m a type of person like listening. Please let me know thank you in advance.
Hi Vannytim, you can record it using the audio recording app on your cell phone and then play it back. Or, you can buy a ipod with audio recording app and record it and then play it back.

@@Claysmile I can't encourage someone coming into this business enough to find a mentor. If you don't have someone willing to help you for probably your first 2 years in the business you'll likely get frustrated and walk away from it. I've been in the business since 2004 and became a loan officer in 2010, got out just prior to the pandemic and now I'm having to do this test all over again (which really pisses me off). Hopefully I have enough retained knowledge to squeak by.
@@dewalt5519 Good points and just a heads up: I posted the link to the PDF file of the questions. It's on my Facebook business page: facebook.com/TestPrepEducatorClaysmile
I don’t get how CompuCram is much different for the same exact test. For example I’ve never seen a question about the 4 elements of a valid contract. They don’t ask much about Section 32 loans. Most of the things they ask about Section 35 have to do w the appraisal within the first 180 days. It’s good to know both I guess. We’re gonna find out tomorrow!!! Let’s go baby I got this 💪🏼💪🏼😎

Chase the experience and training and mentorship, and later, the money will come automatically.
Let’s keep in touch. I’m cheering for you and I’m grateful to be part of your journey!
Do we have to know all of the 800+ facts?

Hello guys, is for California test ?? or are all state exams the same??
Hey guys so I took the test for the first time on Saturday. I used Compu Cram and listened and took notes from Mr.ClaySmiles MLO Case study playlist. We’ll I got a 77% which means I just passed. But now I’m good for 5 years and this was my first try with very limited studying. Thanks so much claysmiles!!
Excellent! You're very welcome! And congratulations on passing the test! I'm grateful to be part of your journey!
Is this for Florida?
It's for all states because it is for the national NMLS test.
And in addition to my free video study videos on RUclips, I also offer for sale a download of "The 200+ Practice Problems Regarding the MLO Test". Here is the link to purchase if you are interested: sowl.co/s/rgTZt Also, I recommend that you join the free Facebook study group called "MLO Study Buddy". @@Claysmile thank you so much 🤗
You guys are going over rules a lot but the actual test which I took twice ask a lot of everyday situations of an MLO the actual test does not ask about so many rules but more situations that’s what you need to go over more.
@@Claysmile I’m not sure how to record it from audio App. What is the name of the app? Thank you
@@vannyt816 It depends on the type of phone you have. Ask someone to show you how to access the audio recording app on your phone.
@@Claysmile just finished my Safe course. Is your information for CA?
@@jessicachitwood7162 This study video is for the national NMLS test. So, it relates to all states.
do i really need to know all this? my online "course" didn't mention any of this. $400 for that shit
Here is a detailed, step-by-step game plan for passing the NMLS test:
#1: Complete all the modules of the Affinity Mastery Course but don’t do any of the practice exams (save those for later). Print out and read through the 800+ Facts (from the Affinity Mastery Course). The course also has an audio version of the 800+ Facts that you can listen to as well. In fact, some people like to listen to the 800+ Facts and read along with it instead of just reading the printed version.
If you have not already purchased the Affinity Mastery Course, here is my affiliate link for the course:
mlotrainingacademy.com/aff/Claysmile/
#2: Make sure you watch the 4-hour video (in the Affinity Mastery program)
#3: Make sure you go through the Audio Flashcards (in the Affinity Mastery program).
#4: Stay plugged into The Study Buddy Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/257646308865682/
#5: Consistently attend Rocky's group study sessions (found in the Study Buddy group. In the group, Rocky posts the ZOOM link to his classes). In Rocky’s classes, you will master the 800+ Facts. After you master the 800+ Facts, then go back and do all of the practice exams of the Affinity Mastery Course.
#6: Check out the MLO Study Buddy website: mlostudybuddy.com/
#7: Check out the several documents posted in the “files” tab in the Study Buddy group. You will see great resources from Jack Carpenter, Jennifer, Celeste Finkler, Charlee Jacobs, Adam Crandall, and Vicky Rowe
#8: Check out the “events” tab in the Study Buddy group for upcoming special events.
#9: If you want a study partner, post a request in the group.
#10: Check out my RUclips playlist of MLO study videos:
ruclips.net/p/PLSeUah3czymM0VEk2dqbeiaEeQnzctfcp
#11: Also, in case the Thinkific platform is easier for you, I organized many of my videos into this free course: claysmile.thinkific.com
#12: If you have any questions, feel free to post them to the group. Also, if for some reason you cannot find Rocky’s class, post a message in the group and someone will help you to get connected.
#13: Also, please like and subscribe to my Facebook page: facebook.com/TestPrepEducatorClaysmile and I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a rating and review. Thanks!
And after you pass the test, here is my advice about the next steps:

By the way, a few of my colleagues and I plan to start teaching a 2-day Crash Course for the NMLS Test. If you are interested, let me know and I will keep you posted on when that course is scheduled.

Can someone give me some feedback on what type way they thought was most efficient in studying this video? Please and thank you!
I recommend listening to the video several times until you master the concepts.

Let’s go baby I got this 💪🏼💪🏼😎
Good morning, I am scheduled for my test 6/9 and is in desperate need of one-on-one tutoring. Please help!!!! @Claysmile
