I wish RUclips tutorials were around when I was a kid, I wouldn’t of quit out of the hobby so quickly
Brilliant tutorial. Just bought the fellowship and with this backing me up I feel a bit more confident painting them!
They'll be superb mate, have faith in yourself! Nice thin paint layers so you can correct any mistakes without losing detail and you'll be away.
This tutorial is so awesome, thank you very much for making it. I'm also using it for my first fellowship box. 🙌
Awesome! Es ist kein problem. Jetzt, jeder sollte wissen was zu tun 😃
Thanks for this tutorial! I really enjoyed painting my fellowship because of your videos.
Simple. Fun. Informative. Easy to follow!
Really glad it helped! Did they look great when you were done?
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 Yeah I am really pleased with them thanks.
Onto Eomer next!
Awesome paint jobs! Really enjoyed watching.
Thanks! Hope it was useful.
Lovely relaxing painting video =) thanks for the painting tips with higlighting =).. Your figures looks awesome! =)
Thanks very much!
Amazing! 🎉
Using this rn for my Fellowship! Gonna make a couple tweaks to some of the hobbits cloaks and Boromir and make the bases more forresty thanks man 🤘🤘🤘
No problem at all, glad it's helped! Tweak away, this guide was aimed at people who had no idea where to even start.
Love the channel and the middle earth content
Nice video. I was looking for one on Thorins company but this was a good interim and you made me spray my tea on the painting of Gandalf’s beard 😆
I'll buy Thorin's Company at some point and do a video on that. A few people have mentioned it now! Sorry about your tea. 😅
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 awesome I look forward to it!
They're taking the hobbits to Isengard
excellent..... thank you :-))
Hey, great video and a huge 👍. You just earned yourself a new subscriber! I've got this set coming in the mail and I'm definitely going to be referring to this video for some assistance when I begin painting them. Do you plan on making a similar video tutorial for the Thorin and Company boxed set as well? Forgive me if you already have, I haven't scrolled through any of your other videos to check.
Hallo! Glad you liked it. When I came to paint my own there was nothing on RUclips to use as a reference other than the official (and very quick) GW one. I have just bought some studio lights and a new setup so I will be making a load of new videos soon. Lots of people requested Thorin's Company so I will try and pick up a box!
I'm a beginner and Just followed this excellent tutorial very happy with the results . I'd like to do thorin and company next but I'm struggling with the colours to use, is there anywhere that has a colour guide ? I can't find anything .
Not that I know of buddy - have a look through RUclips and see if you can find a video on it. 🙂 Glad this one helped you!!
Really awesome video. Really inspired me how to paint them. Will you paint more lord of the rings models?
I will be yes!
Can i ask what you can do to keep the paint wet enough on the brush when you're painting the eyes? When I use fine layer brushes it tends to dry before it can be used, and then i smush the paint in the eye.
Yes, make sure your paint is nicely thinned with water. 😊 Not so much that it doesn't show when you put your brush on the model, but enough you get a nice smooth consistency.
just got this pack but got the warhammer age of sigma paints and tool sets. the colours are different possibly in some areas. but does it have to be exact? i think the red is bit different
It doesn't, no, but obviously the model will look different at the end. Remember though, with black and white you can lighten/darken colours as required. 😃
Nice job. Is there any chance to get a list of the coulours you use ?
Thanks! I don't have one to hand, I'd have to watch through the entire video and write them all down lol
Brilliant work man stunning. Although I think all base rim colours look proffesional xD
Black ones, or ones with colour?
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 I'm assuming base rim with black. They really stood out to me as well. They are so clean!! Great job! I'm almost done with mine right now, but I will be using your tutorial for the stormtroopers.
It says paints required then nothing? Am I missing something? Coz I really want to use this scheme, I'm willing to go through and write it all out but still
I was looking too. AND>>> perhaps the link for the nie handle you ahve for painting them. which citadel model if thats it?
These look great! In your description it says "Paints Used:" but then it's blank, is there any way this could be filled in? I'd love to paint mine in a very similar way.
Added! Sorry about that.
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 Amazing, thank you very much!
what if you dont have a undercoat are you okay to not have undercoat?
You need to get some ideally, otherwise the paint will not go on the models easily, and it will flake off when you handle the models.
could i use anything for undercoat like a light grey ??
@@James-ih4gz Yes, but make sure it is a primer.
Hi mate. I cant see which paints are required
I'll try and go through it at some point and write them out! Sorry 😅
Added 😀
Welche Farben hast du denn genutzt?
Wann ich bin frei, ich werde die ganze video anschauen. Dann ich kann die Farben schreiben. Ich habe vergessen!
01:06 Boromir
03:33 Face Deep Dive
10:10 Basing
12:14 Gandalf
17:01 Aragorn
21:16 Legolas
27:51 Gimli
33:07 Frodo
36:58 Merry
40:26 Pippin
43:15 Sam
I feel I should have done that in the description lol
You need to look at some images because some of your colors are way off
They're painted following the GW box art (roughly). Feel free to do them in your own way! ☺️
259 thumbs up would suggest otherwise. He films these to help people, not to be criticised.
Crawl back to your cave, troll.
