I love the portion sizes in Japan. Those cups are the perfect size to share with a friend, leaving no big bag you have to seal and store. Hooray! All the snacks sounded so nice and crunchy! I'm sure they ranged in flavor intensity, so don't worry too much about your tastebuds, Shinichi. 😋 Thanks for putting up with the heat to give us this review. Love to you and Satoshi. 💜💜

They started selling the salad one and butter ones in the Safeway stores in Arizona. The butter ones sell out fast and I love them, but will eat the salad one too. It would be fun to try the others.

These 6 variations look very good. I would try each one. I might even do that. When I visit Japan again next year, please remind me to buy some.

The mentaiko ones are definitely the best. Back when I was in Japan in like 2019 they also had an extra butter version of sorts, I like that one a lot too. Also, fun fact, you can turn jagariko into mashed potatoes if you put some hot water in them!

Oh my god Shin! I love those fry style chips! Perfect portion for snacking while watching RUclips or what ever. You need to try some Andy cap fries, any flavor of those chips are godd!

Aloha Shinichi! I've tried a few of those but the Ototo and curry ramen ones are new. Those pokemon are so cute and i'll have to get some for the bunch of young Pokemon fans in my life. They sell those ramen snacks in a batch of four or five little bags at Daiso but i'd rather just get a big one. Hope to find them next time I visit Japan. Mahalo for sharing these snacks with us.

Jagariko is an amazing snack, one of our favorites! Thanks for reviewing them, including our personal first choice: Salad (SARADA) ;)

7:57 Those would be Meowth, one of the Evee evolutions though I am not certain which one, and definitely Pikachu. I used to be way into Pokemon years and years ago, but now I just have good memories of the original animated series, and play the video games when possible.
I also find that those potato stick snacks remind me of vegetable straws that were basically the same thing, they often varied in strength of their flavoring, some would be really subtle to almost nonexistent, while others would be strong to even almost overpowering. I think it just depends on the seasoning, like that cod roe and butter flavored one you liked over all of them, Shinichi, I'd imagine that one had a much more potent seasoning.

I heard some people like to make mashed potatoes with them. Cook them in some milk then mash the sticks. Might have to try.

I think it’s the flavours of the chips. Some flavours are more subtle than others. I’m sorry it was so hot for you. Hope you guys are doing well. Thanks for the video 😀

"It looks like cheese, it's orange, so..." Has me wondering if you've ever seen cheese, Shinichi-san... Cheese isn't orange. Except maybe old cheddar. Is that the only cheese you've ever seen?
    I'm worrying about you

    • @telebubba5527

Sometimes cheese snacks do have a more orange color. It's full of artificial stuff for taste and color. The more colorful the snacks are the more 'appealing' they are is the thought.

@@telebubba5527 Yes, that is why I worry about Shinichi-san's health, what with his interest in trying all sorts of silly, superprocessed and useless stuff like this.

@@telebubba5527 The problem is, he's got to choose subjects that the viewers will want to watch. He's got to make a living off this after all... I personally would want to watch him do all sorts of other interesting Japanese things, but that's only me.
