This is among the best takes I have seen on the particular subject of the Forbidden Planet soundtrack. Excellent work ! How come it has only a few hundreds views ?
On a side-note, I think the academic credit of your work would be greatly improved with very little effort if you simply sourced all the video excerpts you are showing. This nice piece of work needs references !

It's just such a massive pity that there's nothing on record on how Doug Grindstaff, sound efx man of Star Trek The Original Series, made his electriconic sounds of the Enterprise Bridge etc. That man was a genius too.
The Villij, was a far out and groovy place. 🙄
