New York Extreme Lake Effect Snow - January 17-18, 2024

Extreme Lake Effect Snow Event for Upstate New York after deep Siberian Arctic airmass plunges into Easter United States. An intense band of heavy snow hit the Buffalo, NY Metro Area from Lake Erie, while another dumped incredible amounts of snow over the Watertown and Tug Hill Plateau area from Lake Ontario.

Thank you for this! I have so many questions....what kind of vehicle with what kind of tires do you use? Did you hear of any roofs collapsing? Where did the dump trucks take the snow? Did you get stuck?? I LOVE watching it snow and I'm saving this video for summer watching here in South Carolina. 😆

I drive a Toyota RAV 4 with All Season Falken Pro G5 CSV tires. Did not see or hear of any roofs collapses from this storm. Dump trucks took snow to a location next to Interstate 90.
