- I have tried to excise the most beautiful music of the series and I think, it's actully not bad. Unfortunately there is no official soundtrack to the series, only for the 1st season. Joel Goldsmith published the soundtracks to The Ark of Truth and Continuum and thoose are great.
PS: Sorry for the bad english. :-)
When I am an adult and have kids I promise to show them the legend sci-fi trilogy known as Stargate. Stargate will live on forever.

SG1 still one of my favorite series ever. i restarted it from season 1 on season 3 now
You know what i want to see.. more people my age watching stargate, farscape and even babylon 5 because you never see teenagers watching such amazing shows like theses (praying for more people that like stuff like this)

Dude, I saw it! I GIGGLED. The guy next to me stared at me and told me to shut up. I said "But it's TEAL'C.." And he was all "OMG REALLY?" And we went all fangirl and fanboy together. Never met the man before in my life.
Aaahhh good old stargate sg 1 , so sad when i learned it would end after 10 seasons. I grew up with it . I discovered it here in Belgium in 1998,since then i'm a fan.I think we all can say stargate sg1 is part of our lives : )
Wow, I like it!! But I have to say my favourite bits are at the start of the very first episode, and most of Point of View, especially the end. But well done! It's good to be able to find it somewhere XD
It's very easy in fact to take only the music in the series. With Sony Vegas Pro 10, I can select the audio part that i want so if you want, tell me what song whithout lyrics do you want !
I just learn today, Joel Goldsmith passed away, i'm very sad his music was magic, an enormous contribution to stargate, he leaves an outstanding legacy.
Joel Goldsmith sadly passed away yesterday (April 29th '12) at the tragically young age of 54. An extremely talented composer who will be missed. RIP. :(

yeah, the first time i saw it, i was like, "ehehehe, that looks like Teal'c... wait, is that Teal'c? OMG!!! THAT'S TEAL'C!!!" I was still a little doubtful though
I saw it a second time (my mom's first time) to relax and watch the movie (my brain is stupid and tried to work things out too much the first time, but i got 2/3 key twists)... that scene came up again, and i tried to concentrate harder...
my mom even noticed it too...
later i checked it...

If you wanna another source of stargate music without annoying dialogue/sound effects, apart from the soundtracks and Joel's website, you can check out the 2 part audio interview Gateworld did with Joel in 2006 called "Gate Harmonics". Gateworld were given samples of music from throughout the series to use when editing the interview
is the soundtrack that plays in sad areas in both sg1 and sga in here? just hearing it in the episode point of view where our jack talks to an alternate carter, im pretty damn sure it plays during some of the tales in sgas last man.

it's a really small part, but the fact Christopher Judge is in the movie made me squeal like the fangirl i am really loud... causing everyone in the theater to stare and silently judge me...

Please someone tell me what the track at 4:10 is called, I've literally lived for this track for years and every time it comes up, stargate simply becomes the 1231256126272534/10 thing. I'm literally prepared to fork out $100 to have this downloaded somewhere.
It's the ascension theme I believe, or some variation of it. This particular one is from When Orlin dies. I think it's on youtube somewhere! (You probably won't see this because you wrote this comment 3 years ago haha.)

Thanks you for this video. I love this series and you made some good choices. I think the music was outstanmding and Joel Goldsmith did NOT receive the credit he deserved for his soundtracks to the many episodes. It is a pity that MGM chose not to make a soundtrack album to so much of the series. One of the most touching soundtracks is to the episode in season two called "One False Step", the story of the very innocent people who have a special relationship with strange sonic sounding plants. It was one of the best episodes, I think and the theme for the plant people was so touching.
There's also many others beautiful soundtracks I've never found like when Sha're dies and says that she loves Daniel. When Teal'c wife dies. And a wonderful one is when a jaffa speaks of freedom there's always this beautiful unreleased soundtrack.
