You need to get the chests, its been a while since i played this and i kinada forgot how to get the shield and mimic ball, but i know you have to get their respective chests by exploring

You used the halloween persons bro use others
I used the halloween cuz they are op
But you can use other characters as long as you have the shield chip and the mimic ball would help
