I remember driving through Sonora Pass back in 2019. Being from England, I can tell you now, we’ve NOTHING like this over here! I’m not a spiritual man, but driving through the Sierra Nevadas was as close to a spiritual experience as I’ve ever gotten. Absolutely remarkable part of the world, and one I intend to visit again.
Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village are shops, restaurants, lodging, the Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams Gallery, with prints of the photographer’s renowned black-and-white landscapes of the area.
Seeing your video for the first time. The magnificent natural environment. The Creator is really wonderful. thanks for sharing. Greetings from Kyoto, Japan❤️
Thanks for this, having driven Zion,Kolob and Canyonlands seeing this has made up my mind about not trying to get here in March and head further East instead. Its going to be 2 years since we have been allowed to visit from th UK and missing the scenery in Utah so much
this road is closed and under snow in march this is just before winter it will close any day now most of the time it is open late June early July and close late September or October a very short season at 9000 Feet spring is the time to come lots of water and wild flowers and everything is green.
Not East East, probably no further than Moab. We used to rent an RV out of Vegas but SFO was cheaper this time, Utah gives me the same feeling when I get back to the UK as Alaska.... Just can't wait to get back. Never been to NM at all plenty of AZ but we won't get too far in only 2 weeks rental
Now I want to experience Yosemite in real life again - after a 55 year absence. I traveled through the park as a 10 year old with my family, a long time ago.
Joel I also have the same hope as you. Have not been there in a very long time. Hopefully, when the borders are re-opened i can make it down there. By happenstance we may pass each other on the road !!!

As a child in the 60s, my family and I would camp in the high country instead of the Valley almost every summer. Looks like you stopped at Dana Meadows. Would have loved to see Tioga Pass.
Hey j Utah, why don’t you try driving in Honolulu Hawaii. We haven’t seen you drive over there. I would love to see that video. Thanks for what you do.
Hi J Utah! Is it possible to make a 360 video version? Thanks. I have a Playstation VR and enjoy 360 scenic drives. Looking forward to more great videos from you!
you say this is the second best drive after the valley ? i like the High Country Better may not have the water Falls of the valley but it has Amazing lakes and Scenery right along the road.
a quick google search and i just see a hiking trail...can you send me the route? would love to do that one next...still trying to work out this 360 camera project in the national parks so i may be back soon

I dont get much choice in timing because of school breaks, not a frequent visitor to California, so maybe some time before I get old
