Steve you have helped me so very much in handling a very ugly stalking and harassment issue. He is suing me over a bed he purchased for me after I broke off our relationship. He is very powerful and wealthy. You helped me understand how to handle this. Im still researching how to handle it. He has endless money to fight and is just doing it to make me miserable for breaking off our relationship. He has texted and left horrible horrible things, so stressful. Thanks Steve!

LOL Del Boy, good one! The best tip is to stay out of problems in the first place, then there would never be a complaint to deal with. Of course, in life that is easier said than done. The second point is you are always free to handle your own complaints and represent yourself in legal matters. That's what this video is about. Hope you enjoyed it! Keep in mind the old saying however: "the person that represents himself has a fool for a client." Have a great day!

+Steve Vondran I have watched quite a few of your videos and they have helped me to better comprehend how the law works. Most plaintiff attorneys don't have the time to explain the intricate details of the civil lawsuit process. It's a shame that most plaintiffs represented by counsel have to learn the ropes on their own. I understand that attorneys are very busy and cannot give a civil lawsuit lesson to every new client. Thus, attorneys such as yourself are great because you take time to explain the law to everyone while having cases to litigate yourself. Thanks

Thanks for these great videos and advice. We have been severely harassed by our neighbor for over 5 years now and feel that we have no options for us since we are retired on a limited income and cannot afford expensive legal fees. I have spoken to the Sheriffs deputies several times and their response is that it’s our word against his. I have been keeping a running log of all of his harassment for 4 years. I have 15 pages of documentation. We are physically afraid of him and if we lose our case it would bankrupt us. Your comment is requested please. We are located in cave creek Arizona.

I looked this up because I am representing myself against my brother for a promissory note he signed after my stepfather passed away. I sued the estate and my brother got everything so it ended up looking like I was suing my brother not the estate although nothing to do with him, it had to do with my stepfather. My question is when filing the complaint, is it necessary to put in why I sued the estate or why he owes me all this money. He purposefully waited until the date the note was due {one year later} to tell me he didn't owe me and that I needed to sue him if I wanted any money from him. The reason I sued was personal and I just don't want to have to write personal stuff in there if it isn't necessary. The fact is he signed a promissory note to pay me. Not sure if the other reason matters. your RUclips channel is the most helpful and easy to understand that I have come across so I think I need to stick to yours if I am ever going to get this filed. It is so intimidating to do all this yourself and he knew it would be for me, that is the reason he said to sue him. I am thinking about putting that fact in there because it was intentional on his part, to make me hurt financially. He also is making me lose a ton of interest by not paying me 84 thousand dollars. this will be a year of non payment August 3rd. ]Not sure how to calculate or prove that but I am determined not to let him think I am just going to let him keep all that money and I am just going to go away. Thanks so much for all your information. I don't think I could even think about doing this without your knowledge and support.

WE THE PEOPLE are figuring out EXACTLY who BAR Association members are what they are here in America to do.
Uniform Bonding Code Section 5.1, the definition of Lawyer while at the same time explaining who attorneys are. The lawful US Constitution of 1787/1789 forbids titles of nobility and the Nobility Clause within the valid Thirteenth Amendment appears to have been birthed (not berthed) to immediately jerk forever the American citizenship from ALL BAR Association members. Enjoy the definition.... Lawyer:
    - A person learned in the law. One who understands law and who loves law for its capacity to rectify the evils of society. One who professes and practices "Liberty and Justice for all," and therefore the equal protection of the Law. Lawyers "practice" law. The U.S. Constitution provides over thirty guarantees of the equal protection of the law. A lawyer supports those provisions of guarantee; an attorney opposes those provisions. In America, a lawyer obeys the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land. An attorney does not obey the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, technically, a lawyer is bondable and an attorney is not bondable. State bar associations, which deal with both extremes, must therefore rely upon "self-bonding."

Police denied me a hospital visit but instead fabricated evidence against me by planting drugs in my vehicle and falsifying police reports and interrogation video. prosecuted me for 8 months then dropped the charges after i lost lots of money and time defending this corrupt charge of d.u.i. they even dropped the charge of possession of drugs that they planted in my car. So from what I gather from this video, along with other research I have done, there is no complaint without a cause of action. If there is no injury or harm spelled out, then there is no case. It would then be appropriate for the defense to file a motion to dismiss based on lack of jurisdiction because the court has no authority over a matter without controversy. As important as the claim or complaint itself is who is actually making the claim? Who is the plaintiff? Is it a living, breathing human being? Great. That makes sense. Is it a fictional legal entity such as a city, state, agency, etc. (corporation)? Okay, then someone within that organization has to have firsthand knowledge of any injury being claimed.
Why then, does a city, state, or otherwise any government corporation have the power to bring suit against an individual without a cause of action? For example, a speeding ticket. If a cop pulls you over and writes a ticket for going 15mph over the posted limit, but there is no other accusation or damages alleged, where is the complaint? How does a court have jurisdiction over a matter that does not have a cause of action? There is not a single sentence or phrase in any state constitution, or the US constitution that grants a court jurisdiction over any matter without a complaint or controversy. Without a cause of action, courts have no power to compel or order anyone or find judgement for or against anyone... There are only two types of jurisdiction in the United States: Civil and Criminal. Nowhere in the US is there a special jurisdiction for violations of law (statutes, codes, ordinances, etc.) without a cause of action.
To put it simply, if I speed and get a ticket, no court has jurisdiction over the simple fact that I violated a speeding statute or ordinance. If I speed, hit someone or otherwise damage property, then the court has jurisdiction because there is a cause of action. I have caused injury or harm. Where do courts get special jurisdiction over matters without an allegation of injury or harm? Is the city or state claiming that they have been injured or harmed by me ignoring their rules? Are they asserting that I have broken a contractual obligation to follow their rules? I've never seen either of these claims made on any sort of traffic ticket.

1:25 ... Well re: small claims court - unless you have a written agreement ... f'gettaboutit. The "judge" will either 1) Dismiss your case (in favor of the Defendant) in front of everyone or 2) Tell you he's taking your case "under advisement" which means he intends to dismiss it (in favor of the Defendant).
Small Claims court should properly be renamed: "The Communist Court of the State of [fill in the blank]." This is the transfer of wealth from the honest hard-working citizen to the criminal. Small Claims court = Communism. "What's yours is yours and what's yours is Theirs too." More often than not, the small claims court will rule in favor of the Defendant who is usually 1) A thief and 2) A liar.
Small claims court is like going to Vegas .. only the house wins.
