THANK GOD FOR YOU MY GUY !!!! even the LG manual doesnt say those procedures AT ALL !!! 5 more minutes without your video and i would've broken my monitor for sure
No problem! I almost broke mine too and spent way you much time trying to figure out what to do which is why I wanted to create this video. Glad to know that it helped!
Thank you so much for this video. I looked all over that short pole trying to figure out how to take that out. I was ready to pop off the plastic covering on the back of the monitor to see if I could unscrew the hinge it was on. You saved me from breaking the bottom of the monitor. Jesus, how did I ever live before the internet? LOL
you need to remove the bezel from the screen. use a pry tool and work the borders of the screen. begin around the control buttons and work your way around. put the screen facing down and pull the back. then you will see the screws holding the hinge.
I moved this thing thrice since I bought it years ago, with this freaking thing always in the way somehow, and finally decided to put it on an arm. Thank you very much for that tutorial!
I downloaded the LG manual but the info in there was incorrect (it says just pull). I was about to saw the bloody thing off when I saw you little video. Thanks man!
The small clip like mechanism was pushed downward with a help of a small screwdriver to release the handle from the back of the monitor. The tip was very helpful.thanks
Looks easy, but I am trying to put my stand back on. Somehow I managed to completely the connecting piece but I can't remember how I did it. It appears to be screwed from the INSIDE???
Thank you so much for this guide! Literally was very confused looking at it.. I have all my monitors on vesa and I got this one from a thrift store. Yours was the first result on google when i googled " removing the foot on a 24en33tw" XD. Happy to say I got it out first try... and... broke the plastic thing first try too! Weak lil plastic piece that is. Doesn't matter as this monitor is gonna spend its life on vesa xD

Good video, but I was looking for one step further: to get the hinge off of the back of the monitor
you need to remove the bezel from the screen. use a pry tool and work the borders of the screen. begin around the control buttons and work your way around. put the screen facing down and pull the back. then you will see the screws holding the hinge.
Thanks! Official manual says nothing about that button.
Glad the video helped. This was the whole idea in creating this video. I was really stumped at first but fortunately figured it out!
Thanks for this, while I have a different LG monitor it's the same way to release the base... Why they designed it like this... I dunno.
First video was spot on when searching for solution. Thanks mate!
Thank you... you saved me hours of frustration!
